**The Cabin:
There are 3 levels to the home:
Main Level: The main level has a kitchen, dining room, laundry room, half bath and 2 living rooms.
Upper Level: There are 3 bedrooms. The primary bedroom has an en-suite full bath with a shower and separate soaking tub. There is another full bath with tub/shower that can be shared by the other 2 bedrooms. Each bedroom has a comfortable chair for reading and relaxing and a TV. The upstairs can be accessed from the main level via a stair lift.
Lower Level: There is a large bedroom with 2 queen beds and an additional smaller bedroom with 2 twin beds. There is a full bath with a shower. Perfect space for a family with children. There is a TV in both sleeping areas.
Living Rooms: On the main level along with the kitchen, dining and laundry room are two living rooms with mountain views. One living room has a TV with 2 reclining couches with heat and massage and a swivel rocker. The other has a gas log fireplace and 2 couches.
Kitchen: Our family enjoys cooking meals here so the kitchen is well stocked including a large roasting pan, crockpot, 4 slice toaster, and plenty of pots and pans. There are a number of dinner and salad plates, glasses and coffee mugs, and kids plates, cups and utensils.
Game room: The arcade games are located in a separate building in the backyard. It has a nice enclosed porch with a cushioned sofa with views of the fenced in backyard, fire pit and mountains. The full-sized IronMan pinball machine will entertain everyone for hours. Play your favorite music from your device via Bluetooth to the cute tabletop jukebox. Watch your favorite sports or a movie on the TV while relaxing on the sofa. Play fun old-school arcade style games on the TV.
Garages: Both garages can be entered from the lower level. The first garage is the pool room and the other garage is for parking. The pool room has a 7 ft. Pool table along with 6 swivel barstools and 3 counter tops for a place to set your drinks and snacks.
Backyard: The fenced-in backyard allows for kids to run and play. It has a fire pit and chairs from the back porch can be used to sit by the fire.
Hot tub: The hot tub is located by the lower level entry door and allows for views of the beautiful Mountain peaks. There is also a table and chairs adjacent to the hot tub for a great hangout spot.
Front porch: The large front porch has a swing and rocking chairs to enjoy viewing the beautiful mountain peaks and the sunrise/sunsets.
Access:
Well maintained paved roads to the cabin allow for easy access. Although the cabin is in a neighborhood, there’s lots of privacy due to the distance between homes.
This home is clean and well maintained. It has recently been furnished with new, beautiful rustic high-end mountain furnishings. Great for large and multiple families. We use our mountain retreat for our family so you will enjoy all the amenities and cleanliness that we expect from any home we visit.
The Area:
We love Waynesville’s central location. Waynesville is 10 minutes from Maggie Valley and 30 minutes west of Asheville including the Biltmore House and Gardens. It has a nice downtown area with shops, bars and restaurants. Maggie Valley has the Cataloochee ski slopes and Tube World great for playing in the snow. There are several antique shops in the area. Cherokee is about a 40 minute drive and has a Harrah’s casino and a ton of shops, restaurants and lots of Cherokee Indian history and gift shops. Elk viewing is frequent near Cherokee. The Santa Land Park is a great place for younger children to see Santa anytime with rides and a petting zoo. Bryson City is a 45 minute drive and has the Great Smoky Mountain Railroad that offers train rides throughout the year featuring the Polar Express in November and December. There are many hiking trails nearby and access to the Blue Ridge Parkway from many local entrances. Several waterfalls are a short drive away.
Note: Out of courtesy for our neighbors, no motorcycles are allowed. No pets are allowed. Also, no smoking inside the house, garages or game room.
