About this property
Quiet Cabin with Mountain Views
This secluded cabin, located in Drake, CO, is 30 minutes from Estes Park (and Rocky Mountain National Park) and Loveland/Ft. Collins. Located on 4 acres, this is the perfect place to unplug, get outside and get away from everything. It features 3 bedrooms (each with a queen bed), 2 bathrooms, living room with vaulted ceilings and views of the mountains, a gas fireplace, a fully furnished kitchen, a wraparound deck with patio furniture and grill, a washer/dryer, high speed internet, and more.
Our cabin is a beautiful, quiet place. Great for relaxing, it has 3 comfy bedrooms, a fully stocked kitchen, a large dining table, and 2 cozy living rooms.
A few things to note about mountain living:
First, there's wildlife. You might see elk (see our photos section of the listing) or deer, or even coyotes and the occasional bear. While bears are VERY rare at the cabin, it's a good idea to make sure you don't leave anything that smells like food in your car, and keep your car locked. While deer and elk are beautiful, please don't approach them.
Other things to note: the cabin is on a low-production well, which slowly fills a cistern for your water usage needs. Because of this please be very careful with your water usage. The cabin is also on a septic system (not city sewer) which means it’s important that nothing should be put down the drains (especially larger things down the toilet) other than human waste (urine and feces) and toilet paper.
Please note that our cabin is in a quiet, secluded location which means that accessing it involves 2 miles of dirt and gravel roads, which can be narrow at times, as well as a few mountain road switchbacks. If you travel during snowy months (September to April) four-wheel-drive and good winter tires are recommended.
It's also important to note that you are unlikely to have mobile phone service for most of your drive, so take note of the cabin's wifi information now so you can connect when you arrive.
