Awesome short stay
It was just my wife & me. The comfort and close proximity to Waikiki’s best shopping & dining options could not be beat. Anything worthwhile was well within walking distance. But the million dollar view alone from the cal cony put it in a class by itself.

Yarden’s home is as advertised…with a perfect location! The property is extremely clean and comfortable with a spacious balcony that has a fabulous view of the ocean…and Friday fireworks!! Terrific beach access and 15 minute walk along the beach to all of Honolulu’s downtown great restaurants and nightlife. Lots of restaurants closer if that’s too far for folks to walk. Yarden was an excellent host and so helpful and gracious in her responses to all our questions. Thank you Yarden!!

The room was great. It did run a bit warm- we ended up buying a fan at Walmart to make it comfortable to sleep. The property really only has one pool, the second pool is only 4 inches deep. But there’s a lagoon very close to the hotel that was refreshing. Nice location

Perfect location to everything!
Check in process was super easy. The owner is very responsive to any questions. The condo was everything we were looking for. It was clean, bed was comfortable, and it had a strong AC which was a plus. The view was also one of the top reasons why we booked this condo. The condo was close to everything, has a convenient valet parking in front and beach chairs and umbrella rental inside the hotel. We would definitely be back if we are in oahu!

This was an awesome property. The view was as described and beautiful. The property was well maintained and had everything we needed. Maybe a couple of larger coffee cups would be good. Yarden was super and replied to all my numerous questions very promptly and we appreciated her kind caring for our check in and check out. The only item that was not provided was a phone so we could not call local nor could we call home. It did state local and long distance included. However, we loved our stay here and will definitely use this property again. The only sad thing is we had to come home. Thank you for an enjoyable stay.

Great location and view
This property is in the Ilikai Hotel with a lovely view, pools, steps from the lagoon and convenience store in the building. You do not have access to the fitness center but there are plenty of activities. You can walk to Waikiki or take a bus to Ala Moana Center or the International Market Place for fun restaurants, shops and people watching. Communication was good and beds were comfortable. I would recommend more or better coffee cups and glasses, a few wine glasses and a bath mat. It was very comfortable for my sister and my getaway. Clean and nicely furnished and decorated. Lanai chairs are better than most. Bathtub was not a problem and A/C worked fine, just keep the lanai door closed. Thanks!

Great Waikiki location with a view
We stayed 5 days and did not have a car. We walked the length of the beach 2.5 miles. (our beach was at W end and not actually Waikiki) We had great access to the beach, restaurants and boating activities- within a block. Best thing was huge ABC store across street for food, beach items, souvenirs. The condo was small with a tiny kitchen but who cares when your days outside or sitting on their comfy patio chairs watching surfers, beach activity and whales spouting 3 mornings in a row while drinking coffee? Take binoculars for whale watching. They had 2 (heavy) beach chairs. Get up early to check same floor tables for things people leave behind: ie body boards, leis, beach toys and food staples. We will be back. Restaurant at the top was wonderful $$$ and great view. Take the glass elevator to top. Just needed better/big coffee cups!

No privacy......
This condo is located in a decent location but the lack of privacy is hard to get past. What you don't you see in this listings balcony shot is that there are other units to the right that stare right into this condo. The building is T shaped and this is a corner unit and the adjacent unit is right there. Given that this unit has no bedrooms the beds are in an open room you will find yourself pulling the drapes more then their open. There is also another hotel building to the left that's not being shown in that balcony shot but its further away and we didnt find it as intrusive. The unit is on the smaller side....The hotel Ilikia is older and doesn't offer much as far as restaurants or live entertainment.... go Next door to the Hilton they have live entertainment every night...

Beautiful Waikiki
We had a wonderful time. This was our first VRBO rental experience. Dana was super quick with emails. He sent one email that had all the details we needed to check in and check out. Plus helpful tips on parking and things to do while in Hawaii. This property has everything. Restaurants, markets/ABC, pools, laundry etc. The views from the balcony were so amazing. We watched Luau's from the balcony as well as Friday night fireworks. We watched surfers paddle boarders and outriggers from our balcony. We needed a car for the week. Dana explained how to find free parking during the day and metered parking at night. Which turned out to be $8 a day. Most hotels charge anywhere from $20 to $35 per day for valet. The beds were very comfortable and the AC was very quiet. The bathroom and kitchens were very nice. Full size appliances including a very large refrigerator. Coffee maker and blender which we used. We will definitely try to book this property next year when we come back. Bill Rees

Great Unit
We really enjoyed our stay! The view is perfect and we enjoyed several mornings drinking our coffee on the lanai, as well as several evenings during our down time. There’s a small kitchen with a coffee maker, microwave and roomy fridge. The living room is small but comfy. There are two beds that were comfortable, just right for my sister and I. The seating for the fireworks show is great, right from the roomy balcony/lanai. The bathroom was small, but roomy to get ready in. The bathtub is very deep and I’m 5 foot. I was able to get in and out ok. It’s perfect for soaking sore muscles if you have the time. We didn’t rent a car and used the hop on hop off bus system to get around, or walked. The location was perfect for all the excursions we took; we were picked up right there at the valet spot or nearby. There were two beach chairs in the closet, but for our beach day we chose to walk to the other side of the lagoon and rent chairs and an umbrella. The host, Darden, was very kind in responding to my many questions, even when it was inconvenient to her. I didn’t realize the time difference between us. There are sensors on the sliding glass doors. If you don’t make sure the door is tightly closed, the sensors don’t match up and the air conditioner won’t come on. Make sure you close the door and look to see if the light is on, on the air conditioner unit above the tv. That was our only problem of my own making. I highly recommend this unit for your vacation.

Great Location and Comfortable
Pros - the Ilikai is walking distance to many of the restaurants and shops downtown as well as the lagoon. We didn’t get down to the pools but they look clean and lots of space. The store near the lobby has a little of everything and convenient if you forget toiletries or need a quick sandwich after getting in late from a tour. The valet was VERY nice and quick. Television does have quite a few channels to choose from if you have some down time. The view is beautiful. We did have small maintenance issue while we were there and it took a bit to get an answer (remember most owners of these units are in different times zone) but she did send someone to address the issue. Fireworks on the beach visible from the balcony on Friday night. Cons - that bathtub. I read the reviews about it but we typically don’t get concerned about little details like that. This bathtub is difficult to get in/out even if you’re a little taller. The beds could have been more comfortable but they weren’t bad, just ok. Storage, there is a little closet with hangers but I wish the unit with baskets for clothes was a dresser instead. Privacy, we kept the drapes closed most of the time because there are a lot of units that can see directly into this unit. All and all I’d stay again!

A week in Oahu
Pros: -Nice views but you’re sandwiched in between multiple buildings. -Clean overall. -Great beach chairs provided. -Local coffee and chocolate provided. -Frozen packs for the beach provided. -Good air conditioner. -Responsive host. -Great restaurant downstairs and is easily walkable to several local restaurants. Cons: -Elevators in the building are ridiculous. Only 4 people allowed at a time and long waits involved. I also don’t think all of them are in service. -Bathtub entrance is extremely tall (My mom and I are both average height). A stool is provided but it is still difficult to enter and exit the shower. -No air condition in the bathroom. -Balcony provides no privacy. -Expensive parking, although the valet is convenient.

We loved the beautiful condo we stayed in! The view was excellent. Parking was not as easy for cheaper parking as explained. Never found the cheaper place to park. Tub is a little hard to get in and out of. A bar bolted to the wall to grab onto would be nice.

Loved our time here
This was a great location and the unit was clean and had everything we needed to make us comfortable. My only comment is that while the picture showing the view from the room was spot on, the picture showing the location of the unit within the property made it look like it was on the other side of the building towards the end instead of where it really was. Yarden was wonderful to deal with and I hope we can come back and stay again.

“Dana was such a lovely host. She was 100% available any time I needed to ask a question. She does a great job of answering most questions in her manual. The room was lovely, open, and spacious. The pictures just do not do it justice! The views were amazing. You cannot even stay at the Illikai Hotel for the price of this Air BnB. We stayed over the Christmas weekend for my sister's island visit. It was such a nice getaway. If you want bang for your buck (and more!) - this is the place to book! I will certainly be booking this unit in the future!”

We loved staying in Dana's condo in Waikiki! The view is beautiful and it was just 10 min from the Ala Moana Center. The location is just steps from the lagoon and beach. We definitely want to make another trip to Oahu and would, without a doubt, stay at Dana's again. Thank you!
