Best Memory Making Place

This is our third year renting this lovely house. We made such lasting memories with family and friends. The house is perfect. It is spacious and has everything you would need for a family/friend vacation. The beach is a short walk and is spectacular. The Poppy Village area is great to walk to for mini golf, food and music. Look forward to next year!!

Perfect Wedding House!!!

We rented this house over Memorial Day weekend for my daughter and son-in-laws wedding weekend. The bridal party got ready upstairs and we had a separate and perfect place for both hair and makeup and so many beautiful places to sit, talk, and relax....both inside and outside. I could go on and on, but since space is limited I can say with 100% confidence this is the PERFECT WEDDING VENUE HOUSE!! We even took our pre wedding photos here. Absolutely lovely with a partial ocean view, and full ocean breeze! Would love to come back!!

Amazing

This house impresses without even going inside. Once inside it got even better. Tastefully decorated but still comfortable and welcoming. I wish I had a longer vacation just to spend more time in every room. Great views from the deck. A short walk to the beach and the marketplace. Come down, park your car, and just enjoy.

Blessing of the Bride

This place was the perfect spot for us to stay prior to my daughter’s wedding. There was plenty of room for the comings and goings for the hub of the weddings festivities. The bridesmaids had plenty of space to enjoy Mimosas and brunch on the third floor while getting primped and prepped for the day and night to come while the father, brother and grandparents had plenty of space on the two lower floors to handle last minute preparations. The view of the top deck made for great wedding pictures overseeing the ocean! My daughter and wife could not be happier about the whole experience here. It was the perfect stay for the perfect wedding. The host was awesome and we’re amenable to some personal requests and the property manager was available if and when needed! We were also able to enjoy the beach across the road for a wonderful post wedding reflection! It was close to restaurants, shopping and fun. We would highly recommend this venue to anyone celebrating a special occasion or just to enjoy a family vacation! Thanks for sharing your property for my daughter’s special day! AWESOME!!!!!

What an amazing spot!

We loved this house. So many different spaces to use, the hosts were gracious and responsive, and the location is unbeatable--right across from the water and walking distance to the marketplace. It's a great place for a big family or multiple families to vacation together!

Wonderful Week in a Wonderful Home

We've been to Poppy 4 times in the last decade, but Diane and Peter's house was by far the best stay we have had. We found it exactly as described on the website and it was in excellent condition. It was very, very clean and ready to go when we walked in. We LOVED the 3 front porches and used the back deck as well. We timed the walk from the front steps to the beach at 90 seconds and when we got there, that part of the beach was very private. The outdoor shower was probably the best Poppy outdoor shower we've seen...it was large, private, and had a side changing room too! Finally, we knew the caretaker, Patrick, was available if we needed him, when he reached out to us early in the week. If we come to Popponesset Beach again, this house would be at the top of our list. Thanks for letting us stay here!

Pretty Perfect

This house was great! The layout of the house was perfect for our group of grandparents, parents , teens, and tweens! There were several gathering spaces so the kids could hang out together and we could all dine together. The porches were great and became our favorite places to sit and enjoy the spectacular views - especially the third floor porch. The owners were accessible, accommodating, and quickly responded to our questions. We were able to walk to the beach in minutes and could also fish in the nearby pond or take a quick walk to get to the marketplace. Two grocery stores were within a ten minute drive. It was an ideal location and a great house!

Beautiful house in a great location

The house was spacious and beautiful and we loved the rooftop deck! The location was perfect and a very short walk to the beach. Plenty of room for everyone- can accommodate at least a couple families if needed. They had plenty of beach towels and a few beach chairs and umbrellas too! Very helpful to not have to worry about buying that when we got there. The marketplace was really cute and was a fun place to hang out and eat. Overall we were very happy with our stay!

Perfectly peaceful

What an amazing stay! The six of us were able to hang to get eve but also have alone time. The beach was peaceful and so easy to get to. And if you have kids that like to fish…the freshwater pond is just 75 yards away. The Marketplace is just a half mile walk and offers boutique shopping, mini golf on the weekend and a few restaurants and amenities. We enjoyed not being in the hustle and bustle of some of the areas of the cape.

Top Notch Experience!

This is our second time staying in Poppy Heaven over the last two summers. The house is absolutely immaculate and the hosts are incredibly attentive. There are ocean views from the top deck, plenty of sleeping space and ideal bed configurations. We really could not have been happier! Poppy is such a great village and option for families. Our teenagers were thrilled with the independence of walking to the beach (2 min walk) and the marketplace and our younger kids loved the ability to fish off the dock and ride their scooters/bikes through the neighborhood. There is a delicious raw bar for adults mixed with a candy store/ice cream and pizza place (very good!) at the Marketplace. So in essence, something for everyone. We will definitely be back to stay at Poppy Heaven!

Luxury Home in Popponesset

We had a fantastic long stay in this spacious, well-appointed clean beach home! Truly memorable time staying at this lovely house and enjoyed exploring the Cape over the year-end holidays. Diane is a wonderful host, responsive to all our needs - 5 stars all the way!

Beautiful home in Popponesset

We were three couples sharing this beautiful home in Popponesset. It had everything that we needed and more. The house was welcoming, clean and ideally located, only one block from the beach. Communication with our host Diane was easy and her suggestions were very helpful. We really appreciated the top deck and the view! We would love to return. Thank you Diane for making this a memorable stay!

Great family house in Popponesset

We stayed here for the weekend of my brother’s wedding with family and absolutely loved it! The house has all the essentials you need and tons of space. Everyone loved the third floor deck with a view of the ocean. We would definitely stay here again. Diane gave us great tips and was available if we needed her.

Even though it was three bedroom, there were other futons to sleep on which allowed for more room.

Perfect wedding place for families to stay, bride to get ready on third floor and wide open floor plan. Awesome water view from third floor. Very clean, all the amenities you need and updated.

Perfect host, house, and location

Diane is great host! Rental process was extremely easy Diane is easily accessible if you need anything. Returns calls promptly, she is so personable. Her home is beautiful, perfect for families to spread out. Very clean, one of my top priorities when renting on the Cape. Great view of the ocean from the third floor. Very short walk to the private beach. Great location, safe for walking, biking, playground for little kids, pick up sport activities for older kids and teens getting together in the evening. Everything you will need is provided. I cannot say enough great things Kudos to Diane😊 We will definitely return for our nest vacation on the Cape. If you want your stay to be perfect Diane’s home is the spot to stay. Karla

Great Location and Curb Appeal--NOT luxury

We were greeted by dirty diaper on deck and non-working grill. (Owners did say it would be fixed mid-stay and provided a small alternative--never fixed) personal items from prior guests in 2 showers, and multiple drawers, dirty hand towel in Master bath. The bedrooms had filthy air conditioning vents and filters-which were fixed immediately. The bedding and rug had in one bedroom had fruit punch stains? and the hall carpet had stains. There were multiple neglected maintenance items and cleaning was not up to par. Owners were called and since they live right down the street, did come over. They explained the prior renter did not leave on time and good help was hard to find. Multiple lights were out leaving my daughter to bathe her sons in very dim light. I called the very pleasant maintenance man to check on the lightbulbs and grill on Wednesday. The lightbulbs were in the maintenance man's vehicle--but never made it to us. One twin bed was broken and slanted. VRBO shows 3 twins in one bedroom, but there were only 2. My rental agreement states a check in for 3pm but the reminder said 4. I asked for clarification, but never received any. We did not arrive until after 4. The "unit book" also stated a 3 pm checkout but was last updated in 2017. The sheets were not luxury, the pillows were cheap, and the towels were ones I would put in my "car wash" pile. My husband, son-in-law, and I left a day early because we were not enjoying our stay. When our daughters stripped the beds, one of the twin beds had a mattress pad covered in pee stains. As rental property owners, ourselves, we just kept marveling that someone, especially so close by, would not provide what they advertise. They must have had a very good photographer. We were excited for our stay but were extremely disappointed.

Making Memories

Fantastic two week stay in this lovely home that is just a 3 minute walk to the beach. The third floor deck was everyone's favorite. The short 10 minute walk to the Village was great. We even rented bikes. We made lots of family/friend memories.

AMAZING house and location!!

Will DEFINITELY be choosing to stay here again. House was great and incredibly spacious…the 3rd floor balcony was our favorite spot! The proximity (2 minute walk) to the BEAUTIFUL private beach was the biggest perk. Overall location was great… 10 minute drive to restaurants, grocery stores, and Mashpee Commons (awesome downtown shopping, dining, and entertainment). The entire experience made for an AMAZING Cape vacation that we hope to repeat in the future.

Beautiful Home Perfect for Friends

The home was beautiful and well-maintained. It had very easy access to the beach and was a 10 minute walk from the local Inn and restaurants. The top porch with a view of the ocean and sun all day was our favorite spot. Ample parking space. All around a fantastic stay!
