The tiny home barn (AKA Casita de la Luna) is located at our property. We live in a separate structure adjacent to the tiny home on the west side of San Antonio, less than 15 minutes away from downtown.

The barn is 16' wide x 24' long and 17' high structure. It has a built in loft where the main bedroom and work space is also located. Downstairs there is the main living space, kitchen and bathroom. This is where the second bed can be located in the sofa sleeper (queen size). Outside the front door, there is a 16' wide x 6' deep covered wooden deck/porch. You can also fire up the chiminea right outside the deck/porch for a peaceful evening.

There is a small yard space for any pets that is separate from the main house.

Cute and cozy

Francisco was a great host and communicated well with us throughout the booking and stay. This little casita is super cute and cozy. The bed was extremely comfortable and the entire property is well kept and very clean! We would definitely stay here again!

Peaceful, safe, comfortable and cute!

This has been one of the most peaceful places I’ve stayed at. I felt safe since my arrival. I felt very comfortable accessing the property, and all throughout my stay at this Casita. The location is perfect. It’s cuter in person than in the pictures! I definitely recommend choosing this place when you’re in San Antonio! 10/10.

Beautiful and stylish home

One of the best places I’ve stayed at, the owner was very communicative and helpful. Also the place was great to stay at for a couple of nights and had everything we needed. You can tell that the owners put a lot of effort as well into making it comfortable and also stylish with the design. It was a beautiful home and was so glad we picked it! I also came with my dog so it was good they had a gated yard for my dog to go potty and run around a bit.Felt safe, happy, and comfortable during my stay and would definitely recommend it to anyone..

About the host

Hosted by Francisco Gallegos

Host profile image
I am a born and raised San Antonian. I have deep insight about the city that I can share with visitors and guests. I love being a host because I know the importance of being somewhere I feel I can call home for a day or a week!

If you're looking to live and experience the city like a local, then I'm sure you'll love the accommodation that I can provide for you.

Why they chose this property

I love the neighborhood because it's one of the older neighborhoods in the City of San Antonio. Historically, it would have been considered the suburbs over a hundred years ago. Most of the homes are built in the 1940s to 1960s. The Donaldson Terrace (where I'm located), Jefferson Terrace and Monticello Neighborhoods are all very close to the Woodlawn Lake area.

It's a wonderful neighborhood park with a manmade lake that was created in the 1880s.

The vibe of the neighborhood is a fantastic mix of old and new with people from all diverse backgrounds and income levels. I feel that the environment is a great environment integrating people who have an appreciation of city life with residential relaxation.

What makes this property unique

I believe my property is unique because it's on site at my main house and would be considered a guest house. I call it Casita de la Luna because the barn structure has a top window that lets the moonlight shine in when the orbit is just right.

I also love the fact that it is a barn structure with a loft and all the fixings that one would need to feel comfortable.
