About this property
Our Happy Place on the Lake
Enjoy this 3 bedroom 1.5 bath lakeside retreat on 0.7 acres of rural lakeside property with privacy from neighbors and beautiful views! On the property you can enjoy 260 feet of direct waterfront access, use of 3 kayaks, a paddle board, and a dock for fishing and relaxing/taking in the beautiful sunrise and sunsets.
The house is located on Whitney pond. You can paddle all the way to and down the Little Androscoggin River or into the adjacent Hogan Pond!
We are a few miles from Oxford casino and Oxford plains speedway!
Our place has an area for outside dining, a fire pit overlooking the lake, and plenty of outdoor seating to relax and enjoy nature.
A great location for a family vacation, we are a kid friendly property, with plenty of both indoor and outdoor toys / games / and activities for kids of all ages!
The house is two level, with all bedrooms being on the second floor. Access to the lake requires a walk downhill as well as a 20 stair staircase down to the water.
Our house is a true Maine gem, if you are not familiar with the outdoor life that summers in Maine entail, please read below to familiarize yourself prior to staying with us!
Maine is a popular destination for biting mosquitos, ants, black flies, and other pesty insects. You will likely meet some of them during your stay. Additionally, Brown Tail Moth season is primarily June and July, but can last throughout the summer months. We recommend you to wear bug spray when outside during the night time hours, and to not venture into the woods or long brush areas.
Our property is full of tall beautiful pine trees - the Maine State Tree! With their beauty and the shade they provide comes pine needles and sap, please be aware you will encounter this throughout your stay.
The house is located on a true "camp dirt road". Some smaller/low riding cars might have difficulty with the narrow road and bumps. If you have concerns, please reach out and we can provide you with more details or photos.
