The best of Portland is within walking distance - trendy Munjoy Hill (the East End), the idyllic Eastern Prom (an expansive park with playground, public tennis courts, walking trails, beach, and kayak rentals) - and a pedestrian waterfront trail leading directly into the Old Port, and further to the Arts District with cultural venues, museums, and lots of local shops. All along the way are Portland's many restaurants, breweries, and cafes that have given the city a reputation as a premiere 'foodie town'.
Portland is a very easy city to explore. The peninsula - which includes Munjoy Hill (the East End), downtown, the Arts District, Bayside, and the West End) is just 2.5 miles, end to end. We provide off-street parking for one car, but if you need parking for additional cars, it's usually readily available in the Munjoy Hill neighborhood - and free (without time limitations or resident passes). Park your car and walk everywhere! Ubers and Lyfts are available too. You can rent bikes along the waterfront. (kayaks too!)
