About the host

Host profile image
We are semi retired, live in Vero Beach, Fl. We love travel, hiking, camping, our grandkids....and the Smokey mountains.

Why they chose this property

We fell in love with the Sylva area as our semi off grid get away, close enough to the outdoor activities we love (hiking, fishing, rafting, skiing). No other homes at the top of the mountain. We wanted to avoid cookie cutter neighborhoods of mainstream towns and cities to enjoy nature and quiet.

What makes this property unique

Spectacular Mountain top views, hiking right out the door for miles to other peaks, close by to skiing, fly fishing in the trout capital of NC, rafting, endless waterfalls. Or, enjoy a quiet evening around a campfire, outdoor propane heaters available in winter.
