About this property
Charming Waterfront Cottage in Lubec, Maine
This charming old sea captain's house sits on a hill overlooking Johnson Bay - a salt water tidal cove. You will be able to enjoy the six acre property with private access to the water. The house has three bedrooms and two full bathrooms. A futon in the private sitting room sleeps an additional two people. Enjoy blueberry picking on the property and relax in the Adirondack chairs overlooking the cove. The nearby village of Lubec offers many restaurants and activities. Great hiking nearby.
Bedroom 1: at the top left of the stairs is a bedroom with a queen bed and a dresser. Beautiful cove views from the window.
Bedroom 2: At the top right of the stairs is a bedroom with two twin beds, a closet, and a dresser. This space is perfect for kids. You must walk through this bedroom to get to bedroom three.
Bedroom 3: You must walk through bedroom two to get to bedroom three. There is a queen bed, a mini crib, a closet, and a dresser. There is an en suite bathroom with a shower.
Downstairs, enjoy the views from the lovely sitting room. This room has a double futon and a daybed that can function as additional sleeping space. There is a door that can be closed for privacy. There is a full bathroom with tub and shower off of the dining room.
The kitchen and dining room both have working wood stoves to heat the house on a chilly night. There is a washing machine and dryer in the kitchen and a clothesline outside so you can do laundry while here.
You will have six, quiet, beautiful acres that offer direct access to the water for your enjoyment. Take a stroll down to the shore to see the water at high tide or explore the tidal flat at low tide. You can also take a walk on the quiet paths through the meadows or explore the park next door. The Adirondack chairs overlooking the cove are a wonderful spot to read or have a cup of coffee. In the evening you can also enjoy a fire in the fire pit.
All children must be closely supervised due to the steep interior stairs, wood stoves and fire put, and close proximity to the shore/waterfront.
