The house is full of games, cards, and life-size yard games for your enjoyment. Or, grab a good book and sit on the deck to simply enjoy the moment. PLEASE NOTE:

WIFI:

Northern Arizona's Wi-Fi can be unreliable. However, at Craig's Old House, we provide Starlink Wi-Fi, which offers the best internet connection available on the mountain.

WILDLIFE:

Don't be surprised if you spot a skunk, raccoon, squirrel, chipmunk, wasp, bees, etc., in the area or even walking by in the yard. We live on the mountain, and these animals roam freely. Please remember that Williams has a no-feeding-wildlife law, so make sure to avoid feeding them—and you definitely don’t want to be sprayed by a skunk!

BATHROOM:

Craig's Old House bathroom has sustained our family of six since 1979. It offers a stunning 7-foot clawfoot tub, which we’ve converted into a convenient tub/shower combo. Just a heads-up, you’ll need to step in carefully—please take caution! Whether you prefer a refreshing shower or a relaxing bath, we hope you appreciate the history and character this space offers. While it's not modern, it has plenty of charm. We’re planning to add a second bathroom with a walk-in shower in the future to make your stay even more comfortable.

BATHROOM DOOR LOCK:

To release the lock, the bathroom door must be pushed inward slightly.

OLD HOUSE STYLE:

Craig's Old House was intentionally designed to preserve its original old-world charm, offering guests a true experience of stepping back in time. With its original architectural details like crown molding, hardwood floors, or a cast-iron tub, the house provides a unique glimpse into the past. The property features 4 bedrooms but only 3 are available, 1 bathroom, and spacious living areas, allowing guests to enjoy the character and craftsmanship of an era gone by. Please note, this is not a modern, sleek home—expect antique furnishings, classic design, and a cozy, nostalgic atmosphere. It’s an opportunity to enjoy a piece of history, not the latest in contemporary style.

CLOSETS/BASEMENT:

Please be advised that all closets and basement doors have been locked, and no entry is permitted. We have provided everything you need in each room, so access to these areas is not necessary. Any attempt to unlock the closets or basement door will result in a charge. These areas are locked to protect the home, its boiler system, and store supplies. Thank you for your understanding.

ART-DECORATIONS:

Please be aware that any stolen or damaged artwork or family collectible artifacts will result in charges to the responsible party. To protect valuable artifacts, plexiglass has been placed over certain pieces. If the plexiglass is broken or removed, you will also be charged for the damages. During the cleaning process, a thorough checklist will be completed, and any missing or damaged items will be promptly reported. We hope you enjoy the artwork as much as our family does. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

PET POLICY:

We’re happy to welcome your pet to our property! To ensure everyone has a great experience, pets will be allowed on a case-by-case basis, following a simple approval process to ensure they are well-trained. Please keep the following in mind:
• Main House: For the comfort of all guests, pets shall stay outside or kenneled on the back deck (kennels provided) and are not allowed inside the main house.
• Pet Yard: Your pet is welcome to enjoy the designated pet yard but should stay out of the front yard area.
• Kennel: When inside or unsupervised, please kennel your pet in the provided kennel in the laundry room.
• Waste Disposal: Be sure to pick up after your pet and dispose of waste in the designated area.
• Security Deposit: A refundable security deposit is required to cover any potential damages or cleaning needs related to your pet’s stay.

Thank you for your cooperation, and we hope you and your pet have a wonderful time here!

I am a native of Williams, Arizona, born in 1968, and the vacation rental is my childhood home. My family has owned this beautiful 1885 Victorian home since 1979, and along with my brothers, we transformed it into a vacation rental with the hope of preserving our family heritage for generations to come. As a locally owned and operated business, we’re excited to share our love for this home and town, rich with history and stories of Williams, Route 66, cowboys and Indians, and the historic train that runs through our town. It’s a chance for guests to experience the charm, history, and warmth of Williams in a truly special way.

Why they chose this property

Our neighborhood in Williams feels full of history and charm. As a native of this town, I love how our historic homes, like my 1885 Victorian, are woven into the fabric of daily life. It’s quiet and peaceful here, yet you’re only a short walk from local shops, restaurants, and the iconic Route 66. What I enjoy most is the sense of community and the way our town’s rich history—cowboys, Indians, and the historic train—comes to life every day. It’s a special place to live, and I’m proud to share it with others through our vacation rental.

What makes this property unique

What makes our home stand out from other properties is its deep connection to the history of Williams, Arizona. I am a native of this town, and this 1885 Victorian home has been in our family since 1979. My family is actually one of the original settlers of Williams, and our house was built by one of the owners of the first train that passed through town. Along with my brothers, we turned this cherished family home into a vacation rental, not only to preserve our heritage but to share it with others.

As a locally owned and operated business, we’re proud to offer guests the unique opportunity to stay in a home that’s rich in history—from the days of cowboys and Indians to the golden age of Route 66. The historic train that still runs through town adds another layer of authenticity. Our home offers an experience that blends charm, history, and a sense of connection to the past in a way few other places can. It’s more than just a place to stay; it’s a chance to step into the heart of Williams and truly feel the warmth and history of this special town.
