Our family restored this very special and unique place, keeping the original "Old Florida" character and charm.
Cottage B is perfect for a couple. It features a Key-West feel with open rafters, a built in breakfast bar, walk-in tiled shower (with rain forest shower head).

Better than Expected!
It's always a little scary booking a property sight unseen. You never know what the hidden surprises might be. The surprise with this cottage was that it was better than expected! A perfect little gem just right for a couple. Location was excellent. The beautiful bay was just steps away from the backdoor and Cortez Beach was a minute's walk away. Easy walk to Bridge Street which is the hub of Bradenton Beach. Interiors were reflective of Old Florida style. We are old house people and we enjoyed staying in this historic property. The restoration was a perfect blend of maintaining the historical integrity but providing modern conveniences. And that shower....amazing! If our travels bring us back to this area, we will certainly want to be at Bill's Fish Camp!

Very cute cottage
A picturesque location. Watching the sun rise from the dock or screen in porch in February can’t be beat!

The cosy cottage
The cottage was perfect. Very clean, quiet and cosy. We relaxed one week there. We were able to enjoy the sunrise while having breakfast, then we walked a few Minutes to the beach and enjoyed the time until sunset.

Great location to intracoastal and beach!
We had a fantastic time at this quant lil cottage. The dock was our favorite spot to watch the sunrise and wildlife. It was so quiet and peaceful, there were very few boats that went by. A short walk down the street to see the sunset was a perfect ending to the day. A manetee swam right up to our boys to say "hi"! The cottage offers beach towels and every beach necessity you might need. A wagon would be a great addition 😊 If you are looking for luxury this is not the place, but was clean and bug free so that works for me! Might have a few lizard/geckos visit you 😜It does have 3 window a/c units so was a bit concerned when I saw that but it cooled it down nicely for the end of August weather. The laundry house was awesome and really convenient. It would so fun to rent out all 3 houses for a big family vacation. Owner Tim was readily available to answer any questions. Would definitely stay here again!

Can we just live here?
We absolutely loved it here! I almost don't want to leave a great review because I would like to be able to make reservations in the future. You can sit on the dock for a sunrise, walk less than 2 minutes to the beach. The next time we will probably rent a boat to use from the dock. There is a hose on the dock to clean the seat and dock from the birds "gifts". Sitting on the dock you can view the fish, dolphins and manatees. If you bring your own boat there is a ramp down the road at Coquinna Park. You are in walking distance to Bridge Street for the restaurant and bar scene. Some cute shops as well.

Perfect spot!
Loved the property and location to the beach. I also loved having coffee on the dock in the am and watching the dolphins swim by! Fun times for the three of us! We will be back!

About the host
Hosted by Tim McGlennen
Our family, my wife and three kids, along with my parents, have restored these cottages, all while living in MN.
Why they chose this property
Everyone else would have torn these cottages down when we first saw them. We got to know the longtime owner, who grew up on the island and spent his time fishing in the bay.
These cottages were originally built as a fish camp, by a boat builder from Wisconsin.
We did everything we could to preserve the cottages, while updating them and exposing their cool character and history.
