Great place!

I was in Aiken for a golf weekend with friends and we loved staying at Tim’s house. It was a great location (walkable) to downtown and very close to tons of great golf courses in and around Aiken. We look forward to staying there again!

Aiken Gem

What a beautiful historic home! We wanted to stay longer! The rooms were supersized with 12 ft ceilings, so many restored historical elements, decorated with oversized comfortable furniture, beds were amazing, new appliances, incredible backyard with pool and outdoor kitchen. Owner was super helpful and the property was impeccable! Thank you for allowing us the opportunity to stay at your beautiful home!!!

Great Home near downtown Aiken

Four couples came to Aiken for the spring races. The house was just as advertised: great location, very clean home with wonderful amenities (gas fireplaces, outdoor seating and grilling area, pool etc.). The host was proactive, communicating with us prior to check-in with all the necessary details.

Betsy and Tim have backgrounds in hospitality and small business. We love hosting because of the standards we expect when we travel. We are lovers of golf and family and hope you can enjoy both while in the Barnwell Estate.

Why they chose this property

The downtown Aiken area is so fun and welcoming to guests. We love being able to walk down to the restaurants and stroll home while stopping in a shop or two.

What makes this property unique

This property is VERY special. It is over 100 years old and has had great stewards of the property over those years. It underwent a large renovation just under 20 years ago to bring it to the current state it is in. There is a wonderful collection of photos in the kitchen photo album to document some of the changes. The original home has fire places throughout which were signs of the wealthy in the original footprint.
