Spacious and bright, this beautifully restored & updated, fully furnished and traditionally decorated apartment includes one bedroom, a spacious living room, eat-in kitchen with laundry, and renovated bathroom. Free Wi-Fi is also included.

This unit on the 3rd floor is light and bright. It has beautiful views of the valley. It’s my personal favorite.
The space
Spacious and bright, this beautifully restored and updated apartment includes one bedroom, a large living room, an eat-in kitchen and a newly renovated bathroom. As you enter the apartment from a lovely common area featuring brass sconces and a chandelier, the first room to your right is a private bathroom. The bathroom has a mosaic tile floor, a tub, a shower head with a hand sprayer, a small pedestal sink with an antique mirror above it and a toilet. A hairdryer and additional towels are stored on the shelves within the bathroom and are for your use. Four sets of towels are located on the bathroom shelves.

The next room you enter is the large kitchen. The kitchen cabinets are simple and white, the counters are a mottled tan laminate and the floor is wood. Large windows make the space bright although all of the windows have 2” white wood blinds for privacy. There is also a refrigerator, a gas oven and stove, a dishwasher and an electric washer/dryer combination in the kitchen. The single bowl stainless sink has a disposal and the kitchen drawers and cupboards contain kitchen towels, hot pads and pots & pans as well as dishes, glassware and flatware which are for your use. Small appliances like a coffee pot, a hot air popcorn popper and a toaster, etc. are either on the counters or in the cupboards.

We have included a small supply of items like dishwasher detergent and dish soap, etc. for your convenience. We will not replace these as they are used up but we wanted you to at least be able to enjoy staying a few days without needing to purchase these basic supplies. We have also filled the canisters with some popcorn, flour, sugar and coffee.

Beyond the kitchen lies the living room. It is furnished with a new sofa with a chaise lounge, 2 comfy chairs, side tables and lighting. A television has been provided for your viewing needs; use of an HDMI cable is required to connect to a computer. Guests have also recommended to me that a fire-stick is needed to connect to Prime video, etc. (Amazon fire Tv stick is a media streaming device which lets you stream video, install apps, play music etc on your tv.)

The last room you will enter is the bedroom which features a splendid queen-size wooden sleigh bed with a very comfortable ‘Orthopedic Pillow Top’ mattress and box springs that has been covered in a colorful, floral spread. The bedroom also features a large closet for storage and clothes, a dresser, a side table and table lamps. An attractive fireplace mantel, original to the building, adds interest. The big front window lets in lots of light and the smaller side window can be opened for ventilation.
Guest access
Each apartment has its own back deck, overlooking a green and lovely valley. Note that the steps are very steep and intended for an emergency exit only. There is also a front porch with seating and a small table that you are welcome to use. The front porch gets sun in the morning, the back deck in the late afternoon.
Other things to note
Oakmont Country Club, where the US Open is being held is 24 minutes, 9.5 miles away.
