After a full day of sight seeing all the lighthouses in the area, it was great coming back to this peaceful cottage! We loved walking down to the rocky shore and watching the sunrise! Kitchen was well stocked and beds were very comfortable. A perfect weekend
We enjoyed the rustic feel of the cottage in a great location! The property managers were very easy to talk to and got back to us quickly, answering all of our questions as we asked them. Thank you very much for giving us this opportunity to vacation in your home.
We had an awesome time at Sea Haven. Smell the fresh sea air, walk all over the point. Cute little beach. Climbed on the rock path.Even got some kitty pets in with Oscar at the end of the street! The kids were having loads of fun playing. It was great. Even the weather cooperated. Lovely sea breeze on the porch and in the house.
This property was available as advertised. It offers the most authentic rustic charm matched with the most perfect location.
My children are the 4th generation to vacation on OP! It truly is a slice a paradise frozen in time. The ocean is a view and steps away as well as the playground, tennis courts, pickle ball, etc.
we appreciate Sea Haven!

Ocean Point House
Unfortunately there was an odor in the kitchen which put a damper on our stay. Also an outdoor light fixture fell when we closed the front door which was hard to close.
The owners communicated about our issues which was good. And location is excellent.
We two couples enjoyed this cottage with so many walks along the lovely rocky mid-coast shore. Catching dramatic sunsets was a favorite while sitting on the rocks located a short half block down the street.
Maintaining the historical nature of the cottage is sentimentally endearing, however physically uncomfortable. Seating and beds made it difficult to rest and relax. The tiny electric stove and vintage kitchen tools made cooking a challenge. However, the short walking distance to the rocky coastline was delightful.

Sea Haven at Ocean Point
The house is very shabby on the outside -- paint peeling, some wood rot. The only house in Ocean Point not well maintained. Both owners live thousands of miles away, so are not there to maintain the property. The interior is fine, and clean, but a bit cluttered. The location is A+.
My daughter and son in law are experienced vacation house renters and felt that this was somewhat overpriced based on its condition.
Ocean Point is such a beautiful, quintessential Maine spot. On top of the perfect location, this funky little cottage is packed to the gills with anything you might need. It’s probably the best -equipped rental we’ve ever stayed in. It’s definitely on the funky side, which is what we appreciate in a Maine summer cottage.
Our communication with the owners was top notch too. We’d love to stay here again.
This space worked very well for our group - myself and my mom, my two kids, and another couple. The location was fantastic. Kids loved the assorted dvds for down time at night and playground across the street, I loved the eclectic assortment of artwork, dishes etc. Ocean point is a special place that our family has visited for generations. Being able to stay there for a week was such a privilege. Hosts had great communication. Would love to come back!
Built in 1902; a lot of the original rooms are as they were when they were built, including an old wood burning stove in excellent condition you can't use it however). Ideal location about 100 yards from the ocean; quiet area; tennis courts;
Had a constant sea breeze and house was equipped with multiple room air conditioners. Spacious bedrooms and living area.
Very cute cottage with a surprising amount of space and excellently located in Ocean Point with easy walking access to the Point. I definitely would recommend this.
Our family had a great week at the cottage on Ocean Point. There are so many interesting walks along the shore and the cottage is is just down the street from from a perfect spot on the rocks to watch the sunset. Boothbay Harbor is not far with all its great shops and restaurants.
The owners were very welcoming and good about communications
Wonderful sunsets and sunrises! The sea haven is a wonderful rustic getaway. My family of five enjoyed our stay immensely. We had long walks along the rocky coast. Were able to see the sunrise and the sunset. We had nice walks to the Ocean point Inn, where we enjoyed drinks and dinner. The tennis courts and basketball courts were a big plus for us! We enjoyed many bike rides as well. The people in the town are so friendly. The general store is a short drive but I must! Grimes Cove is wonderful! We had many picnics on the rocks and many wonderful memories.
We had a wonderful stay in this beautiful and unique house. We felt at home instantly. The communication with the hosts was perfect - quick, easy and friendly.
Ocean Point is hidden gem with the rare quality of having many activities within walking distance - a perfect match for us, a family with three young kids. We enjoyed playing in the playground and at the basketball court just a hundred meters from the house (plus next time we’re bringing our tennis racquets). We took the short walk to Grimes Cove for building sandcastles and a dip in the ocean. The community dock by Ocean Point Inn offers a nice dip too! We loved walking down to to rocks just down the road from the house to watch the sunset.
The community was very friendly and welcoming. This stay was amazing in every aspect. And even though we’re a Swedish family who normally love to go to and explore new places in the US, this house is definitely one we would love to come back to.
This property was great! It reminds me of the beach cottages I went to as a kid. Such cool and unique things to see in the house itself. The location is great. Playground right near the home so with 3 kiddos we were there a lot. We would walk to the end of the street to watch the sunset as well as star gaze at night. The stars are AMAZING! Grimes cove was a small beach with a boat ramp but serves the purpose to cool off and hunt for shells with the kiddos. The ocean point inn is super close and we ordered delicious seafood our last night there that was delicious and responsibly priced. We did the hour drive to Popham state park. Worth the drive as it’s a gorgeous beach. At low tied you can walk very far out to little islands. But get there early, they fill up quickly and we just made it to be able to get in at 9:30am. Monkey c monkey do is a rope and zipline course the kids loved. That was about a half hour drive. The drive to downtown Boothbay was like 20 minutes. So many little shops to see and explore. They offer harbor cruises and whale watches as well. We will do that our next trip up. We already booked a week for next year. Owner was wonderful and communicated the entire time. Overall fantastic experience!

Have spent summer vacations here for about 80 years. Great meeting place for extended family. We come from Seattle, Wa and others from Tennessee and Georgia.
Why they chose this property
This house was purchased by our grandparents in 1938 and they enjoyed it for many years then passed down to our mother and now to us 3 boys and our families.
What makes this property unique
Walking a half a block to the ocean and being able to enjoy the sunsets and waves crashing on the rocks.
