We really enjoyed this property, the listing was as described, everything was clean, and the host was responsive and available for any questions or concerns. Would definitely stay here again!
Host was very responsive to all communications. Little things like loose outlets, breakers popping, lack of end tables make it a 4 vs 5 but the house gave us what we needed in a perfect location.
Charming older home in a great location to visit Olympia. It is, as described, an older home with its associated quirks. The fenced front yard is a nice feature. Pay attention to the owners driving directions as the entry driveway is easy to pass by.
We loved our stay here! Traveling with young kids can be tricky. This home is clean and comfortable, yet kid friendly! Beds were comfy, the house had a good smell. We loved the backyard, my boys played out there for hours.

We used this for family overflow for a family reunion. It was convenient to downtown. It was a hot weekend and the downstairs stayed cool - upstairs was hard to cool down - use some fans for upstairs on super hot days.
The house is very close to a nice park. Very clean. The owner was very responsive when we had a question.
The hot tub was a nice added feature.

Quiet with a ton of character
Comfortable home with room for all. Downstairs bed is comfy although we were nervous as it looks like no mattress yet had a very restful sleep. Kitchen is large and enough room for couple cooks, great fridge and instant hot water a plus. Not lots of plates or coffee cups yet has set of silverware and nice knives. Bring your own napkins, garbage bags, dish towels, kitchen hand soap and spices/oil. Has nice dinning room that seats 6. Comfy couch and chair that compliment the fireplace making everyone cozy. Lots of character and charm!
We lived in the Olympia area for decades and discovered that this was a good location for visiting our families and friends. We brought our dog with us and felt fortunate to find a house with a fenced yard for him. Thank you, Jennifer!
Wanted a relaxing offline weekend to celebrate my 41st birthday with a couple of friends who are moms and also could use the time away. HOT TUB was a must in my search, and I came across this property. The beds were comfy for all 3 of us.
Location was perfect, close to many things in DT Olympia, but had that private feeling. So private, I missed the driveway twice lol My 1 friend also had an issue, but my 2nd friend and food delivery driver did not.
Cute quirky house where we were tickled by the laundry chute (Can't tell you how long it's been since seeing one of these), and it made check out super convenient throwing the towels and linens down the chute. Love the remodeling that was done but please be aware now all electric outlets are 3 pronged. I was in the main bedroom and only had 2 prong outlets, so I couldnt plug in my lap top. Maybe have been the universes way to tell me to stay offline lol
Kitchen was equipped well enough that the private chef I hired to cook us an amazing meal, had no issues.. Front yard had a cute little pond in front. The back had plenty of space for our cars. The fort was cool to look at. The hot tub in back was able to maintain its temperature. Jets weren't super strong, BUT that's okay. My main concern is maintaining the temperature. I enjoyed my early morning soaks listening to the birds chirp away. Late night soaks were just as good being able to see the stars! here is a note to not leave the back light on if not in use because it shines in a neighbor's bedroom. I took a light from the Living room and used that at night as I didn't want to bother the neighbors.
Jennifer had EXCELLENT communication when I had questions about the home, and excellent recommendations for places to hike, and even left me a birthday card for when I arrived. :) Thanks!!!
Our original stay had to be extended on short notice and we were able to do that easily and at a reasonable price. Thanks! Great yard for pets but do know there are gaps and incomplete fencing, so if you have a determined or smaller pet just know that. Furniture is not the most comfortable so if you have any specific needs in that regard know that will be a challenge.
The hot tub was clean and wonderful to use, easy to follow instructions for upkeep and care.
Though right next to the road, the house is set back enough to be quiet and private. Surrounding area is a bit of a maze at first but is absolutely lovely.
Would recommend to friends and would definitely stay again!
We really enjoyed our stay. Communication with the owner was great. My kids loved that there were some little toys for them to play with and the house is very charming. You really can’t beat the location if you are trying to stay in the downtown Olympia area. It’s beautiful out here.
Lovely location, family and pet friendly home with hot tub
This was our third time staying here as we were looking for a rental and relocating to the area. We felt it was our home away from home and it was easy to communicate with owners. Thank you again for a great stay!
The location is fabulous near all the attractions.
There were a couple of minor nuisances like the refrigerator was broken and the mattress in the downstairs bedroom was hard as a rock, but otherwise it was great. My kids loved the toys in the kids bedroom my oldest would ask to go play upstairs with them and the playpen was great for the youngest to sleep in.
We had such a great time here at Jennifer’s house. It’s a really fun property, hot tub, two cool yards.
The house is well outfitted with anything you need to be totally comfortable. Chiming in on the bed discussion, Holy Lamb has a store front in Olympia, we ordered one.
The location is great-close to town, Farmers Market, coffee shops, art.
Do it!
We enjoyed our stay there location was easy to get everywhere hot tub was a plus unexpected guests showed up and my dog Doc didn’t wanna leave

Hi, My name is Jennifer and I have been an owner of this VRBO since 2015!
Why they chose this property
This property feels like home. Our house was built in the 1940 s so brand new and fancy we are not. Cozy, welcoming, clean, and well stocked we are. Come and rest, do some family games, puzzles, read a book in our library (many different genres available), sit in our reflective fairie garden, teeter-totter, or soak in our hot tub. Our house is well stocked with games for the young and old, puzzles and many books. We have DVDs for the whole family as well. We made sure this house has all the things we enjoy when we travel and stay in a VRBO. If you are looking for a modern, sleek hotel experience you may want to search elsewhere. If you are looking for a home away from your own- we will be so happy to welcome you!
What makes this property unique
Super close to Priest Point park which is one of the best parks in the Pacific Northwest!
