About this property

Bed and Bread in West Asheville: Private Entrance Suite Near Biltmore Estate

Take in all Asheville has to offer from this comfortable, private-entrance garden suite. Enjoy a loaf of your host's signature sourdough upon check-in, then head out to explore. Your suite is central to all the highlights, including Biltmore & the Parkway, and walking distance to the River Arts District, dining & breweries on Haywood Road, and miles of trails & bike paths along the French Broad River. Back at your suite, pick and enjoy herbs & veggies from the garden. With AC, WiFi, and a cozy living room with a sofa bed, guests can relax and unwind after a day of exploring. This one-bedroom apartment is equipped with all the essentials for a comfortable stay. The perfect urban oasis!

Enjoy your own private suite with a living area, dining area, kitchenette, bedroom, and private bath. The kitchenette features a sink, fridge, coffee maker, electric kettle, toaster oven, and microwave, along with dishes and silverware. Start your morning off right with a selection of tea and locally roasted coffee. The fridge is stocked with local beer.

During growing season, there are lots of organic veggies and herbs growing in the garden just outside your door. Please help yourself to tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers, basil, thyme, oregano, sage, rosemary, mint, and lavender!

Please note that Abby the dog lives upstairs and has access to the fenced backyard adjacent to your suite. Although she does not have access to your space, you may hear her barking occasionally during the day (she does not bark at night or in the early morning). She is friendly to humans and sometimes barks to say hello, and also to tell the local birds and squirrels who's boss.
She will bark hello at the fence if you are parked in the driveway. She just wants to be friends!

Additionally, there is a fulltime resident upstairs. Although voices do not carry between upstairs and downstairs, you may hear occasional footsteps overhead.

For safety and permitting reasons, the bedroom is required to have a clear line of sight to the exit, so there is not a door between the bedroom and the living room. Please keep this in mind if you are planning to use both the queen bed in the bedroom and the sofa bed in the living area.

Your guest suite is a private, separate-entrance apartment on the ground level of the home, with a fulltime resident above. You have total privacy and freedom to come and go as you please.

About the host

I've lived in Asheville for five years. Before that, I worked as a park ranger in Yosemite National Park. I have always loved introducing people to exciting new environments.

I'm an avid outdoors person and would be delighted to share some of my favorite local hikes. As an avid fan of the local food and brewery scene, I'd also love to give you some tips on all our area has to offer.

Why they chose this property

West Asheville has a fun, funky vibe that I love. It's also close to the French Broad River and miles of walking paths for easy outdoor access. Neighbors are helpful and friendly, so this is a great neighborhood to live in and to visit.

What makes this property unique

Enjoy fresh, homemade sourdough made with locally grown and milled flour, and discover the joy of picking produce just steps from your front door! This little oasis is a peaceful homebase for your adventures, and close to highlights local the Biltmore Estate, New Belgium Brewery, downtown, the shops and restaurants on vibrant Haywood Road, and endless hiking trails.
