About this property

Brookside Cottages and Resort The Big House

Our resort consists of 14 unique, quaint & simple cottages built in the 1920s and a large 2,800 square foot main house. Nestled on 5 acres with 350' frontage on Duck Lake and 600' on Mason Creek, a registered trout stream. Heated swimming pool & hot tub, game room, playground, horseshoes, beach area, fishing, boat docks, water trampoline, kayaks, paddle boards, row boats. Access to the resort amenities is shared amongst all guests of the resort.

Main Floor- You’ll enter through the front door, adjacent to the garage, into a spacious entryway which includes a washer and dryer available for guest use.

A large king bedroom off the entryway provides some privacy and separation from the main living quarters and other bedrooms. There are 3 steps that lead you up to the open-concept living, dining & fully equipped kitchen. Just around the corner from the great room is the 2nd main floor king bedroom and a shared, full bathroom with shower/tub combo.

In the living room, the cultured stone fireplace is flanked by a rustic timber mantel & built in shelving, and the massive front sliding doors overlooking the deck with views of the property and peeks of the lake are the focal point of the living area. A flat screen tv with cable can be viewed from the two sofas, one of which is a queen sleeper. The main dining table seats 6, the breakfast nook seats 4-6, there are 2 seats at the kitchen peninsula. On the deck, there is a propane gas grill and a gas firepit table with chairs. The shared in-ground heated swimming pool is just steps away from the back deck of the house. The pool and hot tub are shared amenities of all guests of the resort; including the Big House, 13 cottages, apartment and 2 RV sites.

Another feature of the Big House is the wrap around porch, complete with rocking chairs - a perfect spot to sip coffee in the morning or relax with a book before dinner.

2nd Story- Take the staircase up from the entryway and you’ll find 2 additional bedrooms (one queen and one full over full bunk bed w/ twin trundle) along with the 2nd full bath. You’ll also find the 2nd kitchen, a small table with seating and a large living area with a queen sleeper sofa and flat screen tv with cable. Sliding doors lead to the upper balcony/deck with a seating area.

Guests have full access to the house.
