Why they chose this property
The owners hand-crafted the cabin themselves - the stairs and counters being cut using a chainsaw sawmill, and the posts of the porches are cedars from the family-owned pasture it sits in. The owner's grandpa had the pond dug by a local in the 1950's, using dynamite and bulldozers.
What makes this property unique
The cabin sits in the middle of 400 acres of pasture. Cattle are grazed there six months out of the year, and you are welcome to roam wherever you'd like. We just ask that you stay inside the fence. The owners do live on the property, but their house is at the other end of the pasture and not visible from the cabin.
Feel free to swim and fish in the pond! Catch and release fishing only, though! Life jackets MUST be worn by ALL while down on the dock and on watercraft.
