Charming, Centrally located 3-bedroom house in Colorado Springs
Built in 1909, this old house is filled with charm, quirky nooks and thoughtful touches throughout. We've DIYed some minor cosmetic renovations so it's not modern or perfect but it's comfortable, cozy, charming and affordable. It's located right in between downtown and Old Colorado City so it's walking distance to both neighborhoods and easily accessible to Manitou Springs, and Colorado Springs tourist attractions. Our delightful house boasts 3 cozy bedrooms - 2 with queen beds and 1 with a full bed. The master bedroom is located on the second floor along with the smaller bedroom. The 3rd bedroom is on the main level.

Enjoyed a 2 day stay, since we were in town for such a short period of time we crammed in a lot of activities, basically only slept in the home, but it was very clean and spacious! We didn't cook but the kitchen seemed reasonably stocked so that you could prepare meals here. The location was great and easy to find, super cute home with a very pretty front yard area. The Communication with the host was excellent, very open to questions and offered recommendations for dining. Beds were comfy and clean. Would stay again, would be great for a longer stay because there's enough room and features to feel at home.
The owner did not disclose the dangerous steps. It is an old house so they were steep, slippery, there was no railing, and I came with grandpa and his knees, a 1 yo and a 5yo. I actually missed the last step and fell because there was poor lighting. Four people crammed in the 1st fl BR to avoid the stairs. In the morning we noticed the hot flue pipe and worried about CarbonMonoxide. We left. The owner refused to refund, instead said oops I forgot to add the photo. I disclosed on booking the ages of the kids. The place was dirty, there was hair stuck in the gate at the foot of the stairs, hair on the blankets, filth on the dishwasher, cabinets were black around the handles. and full of junk. The floor uneven and the doorway sillplates were missing leaving it broken steps, so baby fell, bumped her head and face. Upstairs BR had loose electrical box. There were lightbulbs missing over the dining table, leaving two gaping holes of open electricity. A lamp bulb blew. I have photos of everything. Even if they clean this place, there may actually be carbon monoxide issues with the flue and the exterior furnace flue, and the stairs are stuff horror movies are made of. Furniture and beds uncomfortable and tv was sad. lamps were questionable. If i could give less than 1 star I would. I rented on VRBO because it's supposed to be better.Wish I went to a hotel.
