About this property

House Built For Groups - 4 Suites, 8 Beds, 5 TV's!

Our home was designed and built specifically for groups. The wide open floor-plan allows everyone to be together and socialize. Relax on the sofa, play pool, or enjoy the view with your favorite beverage! The location is very private, right outside the golf course entrance gate, but only 2 miles from shops and restaurants. Amenities include 4 Master Suites (8 queen beds), 4.5 Baths, HUGE "Great Room", Pool Table, 5 HDTV's and Concierge Services. The views from our screened porch are spectacular! Our 2 Oster Golf Houses are side by side with a putting green between them, and have a total of 16 queen beds. The Nicklaus pricing is based on 8 guests, but we allow up to 12. Each additional guest is $125 plus tax, per night. (Note: the fireplace is inoperable)

RTJ golf course + this house are a must

Our group of 8 guys enjoyed our stay. The pandemic sweeping the country was a major distraction that caused us to cut our trip by a day to get home to family. This is the place to stay. Owner Rick responded quickly to all messages.

Great golf venue and the best accommodations

This is our second Brothers Tournament at an Oster Golf House. It is the most perfect way to enjoy friendship, golf, and perfect accommodations. There is nothing that was not thought of in advance for our stay relative to the House. Bring your clubs and friends, to enjoy the most classy days of golf and friendship in the most hospitable surroundings you can find. RTJ golf at Capital Hill is a true test however, returning to your Oster House takes the test to rest, a great experience.

Wonderful Location and Home

Couldn’t have asked for a better home to enjoy time with family in the area for a family wedding. The views are exceptional. The screened porch was so relaxing. We squeezed in some fabulous golf in between wedding and family activities. Memorable get away for our family!

We have a group of golfers that travel to different locations, twice a year. This year we chose RTJ Prattville. Probably the best accommodations we have had in 20 years (except Pebble Beach). Perfect location to the RTJ Capitol Hill courses. Driveway borders entrance gate to Capitol Hill. Three very different, unique and challenging courses. Everyone very pleased.

My name is Rick Oster. I'm happily married and a father of 3 young kids. Like most busy dads, I don't get to play as much golf as I would like. That's why golf trips with friends are so important. Getting away on a regular basis to play golf, hang out and 'goof off' is my idea of fun. However, I've always been frustrated by having to stay in a hotel and 'scatter' across the property at night. It defeats the purpose of traveling together. Ever try playing poker on someone's bed in a hotel room? Not fun! The other option is to rent a house, but most houses available for rent are not built to accommodate groups. Usually the guy that plans the trip gets the master, and everyone else fights for what's left. The losers get the bunk beds and a bathroom down the hall! I knew there was a better way and decided to 'build it and they will come'. I've dedicated the last 8 years of my life to creating vacation rental homes for groups of golfers to enjoy.

Why they chose this property

I was blessed to find such a beautiful one acre property overlooking the golf course. It is not visible from the street, secluded from the entrance road and conveniently located. There are huge trees surrounding the property and deer frequent the grounds. The back deck is 13 feet off the ground and provides a spectacular 180 degree, panoramic view. The adjacent property is completely undeveloped, with no other houses or buildings in sight. It really is a special place.

What makes this property unique

I literally sat down with a blank sheet of paper and asked, 'What would I want in a home if I designed it specifically for golfers on a trip?' I listed things like; open floor plan, Master suites, beds with plush mattresses, big walk-in showers, plasma TV's in every room, a pool table, privacy, leather sofas...etc. Then, I built it. It combines the best aspects of a luxury hotel and a house. Based on feedback from guests, my houses include everything they want!
