About this property

Okemo is open until April 15-- don't miss out on Spring skiing!!

Come stay at our cozy 1 bedroom house in the woods on top of a hill and only 15 minutes from Okemo Ski area.

Current ski report is great, snow coming this week and over the weekend with mild ski temps..... https://www.okemo.com/the-mountain/mountain-conditions/snow-and-weather-report.aspx

Surrounded by forest and distant from neighbors, this is the perfect spot for a small family/couple looking to enjoy the adventures of Vermont. The best and least crowded dining in the area is only 10 min away - Murdoch's. Enjoy the light pollution free space with the most amazing light show nature has to offer and get away from the tourists to live like a local.

The house includes custom kitchen cabinetry, beautiful matching backsplashes in the kitchen & bathroom with bidet, all new appliances. Kitchen comes fully stocked with utensils, pots & pans (but guests love the window bird feeder above all else!), brand new toaster, coffee maker, latte maker and tea kettle. The bedroom has a Twin XL over Queen custom bunk bed (the kids will love cuddling in the top bunk, parents will appreciate the accessible safe stairs on the side of the beds!) and at night in the Summer you can spot fireflies through the window while reading bedtime stories to the kids. There is a sofa bed in the living area, a lift top coffee table, a workspace, and a cozy game & puzzle space with a 43" ROKU t.v. and a vinyl record player with albums. Out back there is a picnic table as well as a firepit for post adventure s'mores!

Solar panels and heat pump provide protection from Winter Storm power outages and AC in the Summer.

Great Place. Private and clean.

The place is a well appointed one bedroom that somehow seems bigger. We had a pleasant stay. The house was clean and we had 3 adults that were comfortable for the weekend.

My family and I live in MA and we spend a lot of time at our Vermont House when it isn't rented. We love Cavendish and hope that people will discover the beauty of Vermont and the magic of living here.

Why they chose this property

Remoteness, trees, forest, animals, long walks, near skiing and swimming holes.

What makes this property unique

It is a small house that we hope smaller groups find accessible for exploring the area.
