Great location, great apartment. Bad management.
The good news is that it’s a nice place in a good location. You can walk to the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 10-15 minutes. The bad news is that my family and I (3 girls under 10) got stuck in the elevator. That intercom did not work and neither did the alarm. I called 911 and was told I’d have to wait at least 45-60 minutes for anyone to arrive since it was a non-emergency. I was advised to try calling the property manager. There wasn’t a phone number to call in the elevator so I decided to call the VRBO host. The individual who answered the phone sounded either asleep or drunk. I explained the situation to him several times and he didn’t seem to understand that nothing in the elevator was working and that we were trapped. He seemed to think that we were trying to check into the location, and despite my best efforts, he still did not understand that we were trapped in the elevator. I insisted he come to the location and assist us, but he kept telling me to push the intercom for assistance. After several requests he finally let put a big sigh and said “Ok, I’ll be there but it’ll take me at least 20 minutes”. At this point we had already been stuck in the elevator for 30 minutes. I hung up with the guy and began trying to pry the door open myself. Thankfully I was successful and was able to get my family out safely. Note that the elevator was stuck between two floors and we had to jump down through the small crack between the floor of the elevator and the top of the entry wa
