My wife and I, along with our 6 adult children, our son-in-law, our daughter-in-law, and our 5 grandchildren, stayed for a one week stay at this villa we lovingly call The Casita. It is a reference to Encanto which had come out prior to our last stay here three years ago. The villa is a wonderful place to stay easily accommodating our family of 15. It is a short walk to the backlot with access to the parking lot trams. The villa itself is well stocked, the pool is wonderful and the owners are very communicative. We highly recommend this villa for your family.
Very convenient location from the Convention Center and nice quiet side road and neighborhood. Tons of sleeping options and open space for either gathering or being on your own. The kitchen is very well equipped with cooking supplies, appliances and 2 new refrigerators. There is a limited amount of kitchen counter space however for just a vacationing family it is more than enough.
Great stay at this property. Worked out well for our small group of employees working a trade show this past week. Very clean and great communication with the property manager. Would highly recommend this property.
We had an amazing time in a home that was literally across the street from Disney. We were able to walk!Home was large enough to accommodate my big family, which was a huge plus for me! We would recommend
We had a family reunion and Thanksgiving meal in this home while visiting Disney. The property was great, and everyone was comfortable. The kitchen was stocked, and we cooked a significant meal without issues. Overall, we will stay here again.
Overall we had a great stay. Property was walking distance to disney and accomodated our large family. Our only complaint was the property owner was on-site unannounced a few times which made for some lack of privacy. Otherwise, we enjoyed our stay.
This is our second time staying at this house as a family. We stayed two years ago and dubbed the house "La Casita" from Encanta. I love staying in this house because it's an easy walk to Downtown Disney, we felt safe, love the pool for our down times, and the structure of the setup of the house allows for lots of interactions between my 5 children and their 9 children. This was certainly another trip to remember that bonded us as a family in a way that staying in a hotel doesn't do. Thanks for the open communication and accommodations for our various arrival/departure times.
We had delays but we really enjoyed this property. The pool and spa was the highlight. The pool was heated which we gladly paid for and the spa as well. We all needdd it after the and four days at Disneyland. The house is great for big groups we had nine people from 43-8 staying here and they all loved it. It was a maze and looks like additions were added on. We loved the location to the parks and convention center. Everyone slept well and the both rooms were utilized regularly. The only complaint t sis the showers were small and the girls slippery when wet. Other than that we had a great family vacstion the house an huge and the yard and patios were well enjoyed a the wonderful places around the house. Greta vacation rental we I’ll utilize j the future again!
This property was absolutely perfect for our large family gathering. We were able to come together or find private space as needed, which made our time together wonderful. The house had everything we needed in terms of cooking and linens and was a totally reasonable distance from Downtown Disney, even if we didn't take the trams. It was also extremely accessible for our family member on crutches, which was great.
The (VERY small) con I would say for this property is that they are going through a bit of a property management/caretaker switch right now and so the communication before arriving was a little confusing at times. Ultimately everything worked out and all communication after that was kind, timely, and responsive. Even with the small communication hiccups, I definitely recommend this property for any large groups going to Disneyland.
Thank you to Jodin and Richard for allowing our family to spend time at your property! It made a magical week at Disney even better.
We headed to California to spend time together and have fun at Disney and do some beach time as well. We were delighted by the quarky, fun property. We had beds and space for everyone. The place is fun and colorful and clean. It is starting to need a bit of a facelift but the house is filled with room for everyone, lots of towels, fully stocked kitchen stuff, 2 fridges, space to gather both outside and inside, 5 bathrooms, and comfortable beds. We were a bit surprised that you had to pay extra to use the hot tub and to have the pool heated. That felt a bit like a bate and switch--but after sweaty days at Disney and at the beach, the pool felt ok after a few breathtaking moments. You can sit in the backyard and watch the fireworks in Disneyland every night. The neighborhood is quiet. The house is very eclectic and fun. We had a great time and felt happy about our stay and the location! It really is a very short walk to Disney--but you still might want to drive and park because you might not want to make that walk at the end of a long day!!
Our troop stayed in this house for our troop trip to Disney! They are 13-16 years of age. It was big enough to host us all and you can see the Disney fireworks from the backyard.
There is a pool, heated with an extra fee (which we did not pay) and a hot tub (same deal as the pool). Proximity to the theme park is was what sold us. The house is very eclectic but also very “Southern California” which is part of its charm.
The water pressure in the upstairs bathroom was very low, but we had enough hot water for all 15 of our party to shower comfortably throughout our stay.
We did not use the AC or heaters so I cannot comment on that. The BBQ outside worked very well and the girls enjoyed laying out by the pool but it was too cold to actually swim (our budget did not allow for us to pay for the heater).
If traveling with small kids, the house had plenty of strollers and baby gear (did not apply to us).
It was very easy to check in and check out.
There is a shell station around the corner that has some provisions, but we found Instacart the best mode of delivery from Albertsons and Walgreens.
Overall we had a very lovely stay and would recommend this house to other troops. We felt safe and secure and there was enough space for everyone to spread out.
Location is awesome, close to Disney/Convention Center and great evening view of the fireworks from Disney.
The house has a lot of tile, which for an adult group was fine, but I'd be a little worried if there were little ones. The rooms were all comfortable and all the amenities you'd hope for in such a rental were provided, included room for parking two cars and a street parking pass. There is a caretaker suite in the garage/which has its own/separate entrance and doesn't connect into the house. Didn't see or hear during our stay, but usually my VRBO experience does not have someone staying at the property. Very happy with accommodations, though price point was a little high compared to previous rentals of a similar size and location. Didn't use pool or spa, but nice outside area.
The whole process from booking to arriving was flawless. The exterior of the home looks per the picture. It is a 1.5 mile walk into the park itself so that adds 3 miles per day if you don’t go home midday, to the day. We walked 11-13 miles per day! Phew.
The home interior was very clean. Spanish eclectic style with almost every color and pattern imaginable. A mix of furniture. Lots of beds which was key for our stay with the 12 of us. Anaheim has major rules on quiet until 9am and after 9pm which must be followed. No problem for us in the winter. Just know this is a very old house (70+). . The kitchen has plenty of varied dishes and two refrigerators. It is definitely a rental for crowds. Two sleeping areas, one up with 3 bedrooms and an older washer & dryer and one down with four bedrooms. The downstairs washer-dryer is outside in a small room they created in back of the garage. One of the two dryers wasn’t working. The caretaker lives in the converted garage. We only saw him when we checked in. There was a problem with a water heater they had to replace so they heated the spa up for us for free , which was very nice, although it needed the chemicals balanced.
The people were wonderful. But staying at a less expensive, newer-nicer home further away and driving/paying the $35/day for parking may be a better idea.

Location awesome. However, dishwasher, 2 dryers and 1 washer did not work. The smell of mildew was so strong and coming from under the sink in the kitchen. Windows were difficult to open and no screens. Needs a thorough deep cleaning. I loved the atmosphere and vibe of the place but not well maintained. The loose tile on the steps were tricky.
We had a great experience. Everything went very well. We enjoyed our stay and would stay there again. We would stay there again. Great location and room for our family.
Within walking distance of Disneyland. Lots of sleeping space. We were not fans of the window AC units which set off everyone's sinuses. The units ran constantly when on.
The property is accurately described in the listing. I would mention that there is no central air and some of the windows do not have screens. It is a very dated house and the price was quite high for this old of a house. The owners were easy to work with and should we have needed them they were on site. It worked for our large crowd but was kindof an odd older home. One bathroom smelled of sewer that was off the kitchen.
We stayed for 3 nights. We had a school group with 17 guests total. The house was perfect for us. Plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms. The kids loved the pool. The house has a bright and colorful decor. The owner was very friendly and helpful. Great location not far from Disney.
Richard is a wonderful host! And he has some wonderful stories! I thoroughly enjoyed visiting with him a few short times.
We could walk to the Disney parking garage in about 10 minutes, and catch the tram to and from the park. A nice bridge by the parking garage to cross the busy street.
The pool and hot tub were great and a favorite of the kids! Noodles and life jackets worked well.
It was nice to have strollers to use (they have several!) and all things for the baby - High Chair, crib, pack n play, etc.
The abundance of towels - and they wash them for you each day- was amazing. All the toilet paper, shampoo, conditioner, and soap for all the bathrooms were provided!
Our whole family commented on how soft the beds are. The bathrooms were plenty for our large group. Small showers in most but one shower is large enough to shower several kids at the same time - really unique step down shower!
The pictures make it hard to imagine the layout of this house, but it is truly very comfortable and great for a large group. We could see parts of the fireworks from the patio and living room with its full wall of windows.
Richard has thought of everything and is very detail oriented with the supplies he provides.
Thanks Richard - Loved it!
We celebrated our parents' 50th anniversary and took the grandkids to Disney. We had a full house! There were plenty of toiletries, supplies, towels, kitchenware, along with nice touches like pool toys, games, etc. Spotty internet, as a heads up, but I believe the owner is remedying that for the next guests. We didn't mind so much that we couldn't easily access television. Owner is readily available and tends to the upkeep daily, which is nice because we saw him every day for any request we had. We intend to rebook every year because it perfectly suits our extended family needs.
This property is everything as stated and more. If you are looking for a place to host a large group with children, this is it. The house reminds us of Casita from the movie Encanto. Lots of places to play hide and seek. Hot tub and pool were great. I truly interesting house. Lots of room and the host was great. Close to Disneyland, walked there every day.
We loved that we were so close to Disneyland and could see the fireworks from the pool area. Having a pool and spa was nice for a relaxing evening after a day at Disneyland. Kitchen was fully stocked, so was able to cook home cooked meals instead of having to eat out all the time.
We travelled to Anaheim with 17 family members all ranging from 50+ to babies. The listing housed all of us with ease. Lots of room to spread out and for the kids to play. Location is the key to this property, you are one street over from downtown Disney. A 20 minute walk to the entrance of Disneyland/California Adventure. The house itself is clean and the layout works well with multiple families. The pool and hot tub were nice. Everything was supplied that we needed .. crib, stroller, umbrellas, life jackets. Nice neighbourhood, we had a very pleasant stay.
We parked our van and walked to Disneyland every day. Perfect location and plenty of room.
