Zena Cottage is a bright and sunny retreat 3miles to Village of Woodstock!

Zena Cottage is a gateway to all the Catskills have to offer & only 2.8mi. to the Village of Woodstock for shopping, dining, music venues & so much more! After a day exploring, lounge in the Adirondack chairs on the deck, barbecue on the grill, or head to the firepit for s'mores & take in the stars...charming spots to lounge, places to let your mind & heart wander, conversations & game playing or a romantic cuddle in front of the fire-whatever makes you smile, we hope you enjoy Zena Cottage as much as we do!

We offer a fully stocked eat-in kitchen, Wifi, 2 TV's, phone charging stations, LR fireplace, outdoor firepit, deck with Adirondack chairs, dining table, solar lit umbrella (seasonal), gas grill and fenced-in yard and garden.

A comfortably spacious living room boasts a white brick wood burning fireplace (for winter use only) w/adjoining den. If you must work when you visit, our oak mission desk is setup w/a large monitor (bring your own HDMI cables/we provide WIFI) and a pleasant view of the horse farm across the road. French doors off the living room lead to a dining room that can seat 6. A spacious eat-in kitchen provides additional seating, dishwasher and large refrigerator.

First floor bath has undergone a high end renovation (2024) with designer fixtures/features, tub and shower.

NEW second floor bath: Our new dormer build (completed 2024) boasts a new/second bath with designer features and high end fixtures, including a rain shower!

The Master Bedroom (updated 2024) has a view out on the back yard & woods, queen size bed, TV, and is equipped with 2 phone charging stations in both bedside lamps and blackout shades.

The front/teal Bedroom has a full bed, lamp with charging station, blackout blinds, and a bright country vibe with a view of the horse farm across the road. In addition to large closets and dressers, luggage racks are provided for your comfort and use. Sumptuous crisp 100% cotton bedding and an abundance of pillows are provided.

Outside:
We love the natural environment at Zena Cottage. The combination of woods in the back yard, rolling fields across the road, create opportunities for unique natural connections. Our back deck is the perfect place to enjoy a glass of wine while you bbq on the grill and later head to the fire-pit for S'mores under the stars.

Don’t overlook our 3 season “Porch” (Not recommended in winter). Our home is on a country road with lots to see; take your morning coffee to the porch and watch the show; yes, there is some vehicle traffic, bicyclist and people walking to town. There is also amazing sunsets, a view of the horse farm with neighing horses in the field, birds galore including hawks and a resident eagle (binoculars provided on the shelf for a better look). Don’t be surprised if you see some very unusual visitors…a family of once domesticated peacocks accidentally escaped a nearby farm and are occasional summertime visitors to Zena Cottage. They are particularly fond of roosting on the railing in full view of “The Porch”. If you are lucky to see and experience these spectacular visitors, please do not feed or attempt physical contact. We treat all our wild life visitors with awe, respect and distance.

Other things to note:
Fire pit use is subject to local burn bans. We will notify guests accordingly. Outside hose will be on in the summer months and is nearby for safety during all outdoor fires.
