A gem in a beautiful quiet neighborhood

This was a wonderful place to stay. Our host communicated and helped us throughout our visit. Check in was easy, but despite Paola's excellent directions, the water taxi from the airport did not drop us at the right place. She had explained Google maps was not helpful but we were able to find the apartment by using Apple Maps. We were able to store our luggage and just explore until it was time to check in. The three bedrooms and two bathrooms (and the AC!) Were very welcomed by my grown sons and my husband. There was room to spread out for my family of five and the views from the windows were beautiful. When our boat tour suddenly cancelled, our hostess offered us several other boating options even though this was no fault of hers! There were guidebooks, maps and restaurant suggestions at the apartment. When it came time to leave she even booked a taxi for us back to the airport. That one picked us up (on time!) where we should have been dropped off to start with. It was literally outside our door. A fabulous end to a fabulous stay!

Die Lage der Wohnung ist fantastisch, mittendrin und alles in wenigen Minuten zu Fuß zu erreichen. Die Ausstattung der Wohnung lässt keine Wünsche offen: im Bad war alles da was man braucht (Handtücher, Fön, Klopapier, Pflegeprodukte,...) und ebenso in der Küche, Gewürze, Essig/Öl, Kaffee, Spülmittel,... Es ist sehr gemütlich, mit schönen Lampen, Kissen, vielen Büchern und Bildbänden, Informationen zu Venedig,... Paola ist sehr hilfsbereit und wohnt direkt nebenan. Wir hatten zuerst ein Problem mit dem Wasser, das nicht heiß wurde, Paola hat sich sofort gekümmert und das Problem wurde schnell gelöst. Rundum ist eine sehr große Auswahl an tollen Geschäften und Restaurants.

Amazing

Paola our host was great. She went above and beyond what was expected. The apartment was equipped with everything you would need. Including several different types of coffee machines, a kettle and teapot and soda stream. The apartment was immaculately clean . All amenities were supplied. The location was central to so many attractions in the area. If you are looking for superior accommodation in Venice..this is the place. No hesitation would return in a heartbeat. More than we expected!

Paola’s place was perfect for 6 adults and an infant. Paula was so attentive! From her great responsiveness on email in English to meeting us at the water taxi stop in front of her place to sitting with us to answer all our questions to booking water taxis for us and providing a crib and diapers, Paula was a wonderful host. Her place is upscale, modern and more spacious than we expected. Everything was clean and functional. If you want to cook, the place has everything. Best of all was the place’s proximity to everything on San Marco. You are literally right there. We loved it!

Location and host are wonderful!

Great place right next to next to St. Mark’s Square. Several places to eat and shop nearby. The apartment has great charm and is very well laid out. Everything worked well and we felt very safe. Just a heads up, stand up shower is small, and that’s Europe for you. So nice to watch and hear the gondola’s passing by our windows. Paola was the BEST host we have ever encountered. She was so kind and helpful. We would gladly stay here again in the future.

Perfect location

We loved our stay in Venice. The apartment is a perfect location, so close to all the major sites. Paola is very helpful and communicates quickly. You can watch the gondola’s float by from the kitchen and a bedroom window and the beds!!! The most comfortable beds we stayed in our entire trip to Italy. I highly recommend this apartment

We loved this place!

I have nothing bad to say, the check in was easy, the check out was easy, the location is amazing. The beds are comfortable! Paola was super helpful and also helped us with water taxi arrangements when we left. This was very useful and made everything easy. Lots of space, we stayed as a family of 6 and had a great time. Washer and dryer worked great as well which was a plus. Would definitely stay here again!

Great stay right in the heart of Venice

Really enjoyed our wonderful stay at this flat, right near St. Marks square in Venice. The host was fanastic! She helped us arrange water taxi service from the train station on arrival, and an early morning departure to the airport. The water taxi literally takes to the doorstep of this rental. It's unbelievable. She also arranged dinner for us at a nearby locale that was fantastic. You are just steps from St. Marks, minutes from more cafes and restaruants than you can shake a stick at, and 5-10 min walk from the major bridges and the rest of Venice. The flat itself was fantastic, 3 large bedrooms with comfy beds and pillows. We stayed in March, so no need for heat or AC - but both looked great. Lots of windows (limited views) so great ventilation. Bathrooms were pristine and stocked. Kitchen had everything, although we ate out all the time because the food is so good. Stayed with family (wife + 2 teenagers in their own rooms). Would 100% stay again. Thanks for the memories!

Perfection!

We spent a week in this splendid apartment. Perfection! Beautiful, spacious, nicely furnished, comfortable, well-located. The building is just off a small canal in a quiet neighborhood. Lots of room and rooms. Tasteful furniture, neither antique Venetian nor Ikea-like; the pictures are accurate. Beds are fine, living room furniture inviting, nothing is missing by way of equipment. Basics like salt, olive oil, coffee present in abundance. (Well equipped kitchen; upon our exotic request for a truffle slicer, one was provided within hours.) Communication with Paola the owner was smooth and beyond helpful. The restaurant suggestions were spot on- don’t miss out the nearest to the apartment, Osteria Enoteca de San Marco. Quiet, gondolas gliding past the kitchen window, yet near to the bustle of San Marco. For us, an ideal location. Paola left for her own travels after our arrival but left us in the capable hands of Rosaria. She proved a responsive crisis manager when we stupidly locked ourselves out. (Hint, at the external door, lock the waist-high lock only, avoid using the higher one.) The apartment exceeded all my expectations. Do not think twice; this is the place to stay in Venice. I would go back in a heartbeat.

My name is Paola and I have been living here in Venice since 1983, when I arrived from Rome to reach my mother, Filippa, who had moved because of her job. Here I attended high school and college, graduating in History of Art. I was immediately fallen in love with Venice and so I decided to live here even after the end of my studies. that's why I am still here and I'm always confident and happy with my choice!

Why they chose this property

The apartment belonged to my mother who bought it in 2005 because it was a few steps from the house where I live today with my husband Renato. I am very attached to this apartment and the San Marco area where I spent the years of my youth happy and carefree. Despite the inevitable and continuous transformations, the area of San Marco with its beautiful square, its museums and its ancient monuments preserves the infinite charm of a unique city.

What makes this property unique

The strengths of the apartment are to be found in the center position, the layout of the rooms (the 3 bedrooms are not neighbors in order to guarantee a good privacy to all guests) and size (126 square feet), making it ideal for a large family or a group of friends. From the windows of the kitchen and the master bedroom you can stop to observe the slow passage of gondolas on the canal of San Moisé.
