Beautiful home near the Plaza
This is a gorgeous home near the Plaza. Very walkable also near the river with a great walking trail. The house itself has large rooms and a well-outfitted kitchen in both the main house and the one bedroom apartment below. The kitchen upstairs is quite small and really only fit for one person at a time. The kitchen in the apartment is more open. We did enjoy having 2 dishwashers! The house was clean and well stocked with towels. The beds were like sleeping on waterbeds. Not sure what kind of mattresses they are but every time someone moves the whole bed moves and the pillows are not at all soft so be aware of that! My primary reason for giving 4 stars instead of 5, though, is that there are zero comfortable seating places. There was nowhere for us to watch tv or a movie together or even sit and have a conversation. The sofas are terribly uncomfortable and have feathers sticking out everywhere. We finally found some extra sheets and covered them just to be able to sit on them. The chaise was like a garden bench it was so hard. At this price point and quality level, I found this quite unacceptable. The other reason is that we called the property manager because the ovens were not shutting off properly and never got a return call. The microwave didn’t work properly, and the gate only worked with the one remote we were given, not with the keypad which was quite inconvenient. So, overall a lot of good but a few bad things that need attention.
