About this property

Modern 2-bedroom mountain house in brilliant Lansing

Enjoy the “modern meets rustic” vibe at this new mountain home, with open spaces, soaring windows and custom reclaimed wood touches. You're on a high ridge, with lots of privacy and views across breathtaking Old Orchard Creek farm. Hike trails right from the house or head to cool little town of Lansing. Relax in comfy new beds, a spacious loft for sleeping and hanging out, fully equipped kitchen, a wood stove, and a big deck that feels like being in a treehouse.

Want to know a little more? OK!
From the glass front door you’ll see straight through to a wall of windows overlooking a forest and know you’ve come to the right place -- to relax in our newly built mountain home where you’ll have a beautiful connection with the outdoors, plenty of privacy, and fun places to gather.

“Bonnie Rise” is high on a ridge that’s part of the historic (and breathtaking!) Old Orchard Creek Farm. Right from the house you can hike the farm’s trails, pick blueberries in the summer, or just hang out on your big deck that feels like being in a tree house.

Here’s what you’ll also find: comfy new beds, a ground floor bedroom plus a spacious loft space for sleeping, watching a movie or hanging out; a very well-equipped kitchen with new pretty much everything and pantry basics; a wood stove, books, some games; and a full basement with washer and dryer and storage space.

You might find so much peace and joy you never leave “Bonnie Rise”, but you’re just 10-15 minutes from Lansing, a very cool little creekside town with a popular reimagined General Store offering coffee and snacks, a curated book selection, local foods and organic Italian wine. Down the street is a small grocery store, and nearby West Jefferson offers a range of restaurants, galleries, and shopping adventures.

The perfect three day escape.

My husband and I enjoyed our stay at Bonnie Ridge immensely! The private hiking trails and general sense of privacy made for a truly peaceful retreat, and the stunning windows let in breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape. The kitchen was flawlessly equipped for cozy nights in, and the little wood-burning fireplace added the perfect touch of warmth. Our border collie mix had the time of her life running around like a true farm dog, and we loved that the property was so pet-friendly. The beds were comfy—on the stiffer side, with all-natural linens, which is a huge plus for anyone picky about fabrics. The shower was fantastic, with great water pressure, making it easy to unwind after a day outdoors. Most of all, Janet was an absolute gem—her hospitality made everything seamless and stress-free. We can’t wait to come back!
