Beautiful views of Lake Ontario. They have a nice fire pit overlooking the lake.
Same group of friends have stayed at this house multiple times. Always clean, well stocked and comfortable.
Multiple router repeaters & bedside iphone chargers were much appreciated. Lakeviews enhanced by beautiful artwork. The kitchen/family room thermostat is separate from the hallway NEST thermostat for the bedroom “annex”. Can’t beat being lulled to sleep by lapping waves. The short rural commute “home” was relaxing after playing tourist. Try the free 60min tour of CityHall by Explore Buffalo. The Darwin Martin house (complex of 3 FLW-designed buildings) has amazing art-glass & decorative hearths. East Aurora is a charming village & home to the Roycroft arts & crafts guild. Crossing into Canada over the Lewiston-Queenston bridge was quick & easy (bring your passport!). Only regret is that Brownie’s was closed for the season.
The house was clean, well appointed. The layout of the house is great for those that are early birds or like to sleep in. Bedrooms are on one side and communal space on the other side. The kitchen had functional incidentals like seasoning, spices, sugar for cooking and dish soap for cleaning. Showers had shampoo and conditioners.
The owner includes all directions from VRBO in a binder for checkout procedures. The yard has an absolutely SPECTACULAR view of the lake. The sunrises are amazing.
As the organizer of our trip I had to reach out to the owner, Kim, directly and she was wonderfully warm, friendly and helpful. The house is close to restaurants and the Warfane Marina where we had our fishing trip booked.
Stores, markets and great restaurants are nearby.
We went to downtown Buffalo and Niagra Falls and both are less than an hour drive. The Airport was also a 40-50 minute drive depending on traffic. If we book for Salmon with our favorite Captain, Vince Silvaggi we will stay here again. I may even bring my family. In short, great spot, great for family, friends for short or long stays.
View of the lake is absolutely breathtaking, it was so relaxing to sit in the backyard and watch boats go by. Our teenagers had a blast swimming in the lake, using life jackets and paddleboards provided by the hosts. The house is clean, comfortable, and well stocked in a quiet neighborhood. Communication with the Kim was very easy. We enjoyed going to a few of the roadside farmers markets to pick up fresh fruit and vegetables. Beautiful place to make memories with your family!
Perfect location on te laje with beautiful sunrises and sunsets. Beds comfortabke and bathrooms equipped with a lot of staples except could have had a few more hand towels.
Kitchen adequate and patio nice for sitting and looking at the lake. Walking to restaurant.
This was the perfect location in the cutest town! Truly a hidden gem that we will visit again! We came for a Bills game but also visited Niagara Falls and Six Flags. It's totally worth the drive to escape the city life and stay in this quaint little town! The home is older, but that's part of its charm. Truly a cozy home with the best views of the water!
Well kept, easy to find host. Great location. Sits next to water treatment plant, but has no impact on beauty of the property. Lakefront bedroom remains fairly warm despite central AC. I would definitely stay here again!
The location was great with easy access to the fishing boats. Beautiful lake front view.
The only issue we had was we had 3 adult men and the third bedroom only had bunk beds in it.
House was well stocked with all the necessities.
We enjoyed our stay, and we would stay there again.
Beautiful views and Great location at this Lake House
The lakefront house is located at the end of a quiet street. Beautiful views of the lake from the home. Enjoyed watching the boats on the lake. Wilson, New York is a great location. It is central to so many great attractions. Our family enjoyed - Old Fort Niagara - a fort with reenactments (money saving tip - save your parking slip - they will take the cost of parking off your entrance fee if you show them your parking slip). Also enjoyed the Niagara Power Vista, Lockport Locks and Cruises (2 hour boat ride through the locks along the Erie Canal), Medina Railroad Museum, the Tuesday night Car Show at Brownie's (as well as their amazing ice cream and milkshakes), and Imagine That Art Studio in Lockport. You can take a painting class, make jewelry or make ceramics. Great way to spend an afternoon. The Lake House was quiet, with great views and amenities. We enjoyed using the fire pit by the lake to roast marshmallows for smores.
What a beautiful place on the lake. Has everything to keep kids busy, games toys etc.. the house just gives you this feeling of family! We will be back many times!
Beautiful views on the sunrise and sunsets over Lake Ontario. Enjoyed sitting by the fire pit overlooking Lake Ontario and the house was a perfect setting for our family vacation in nestled in a quaint town. It was an easy drive to Niagara Falls and Canada.
Everything was as advertised and we enjoyed our brief stay very much. The accommodations were perfect for two couples. The kitchen was small but very functional. We especially enjoyed the living and dining rooms. Very homey feel with a lovely view. Having a restaurant across the street and a pier next door was an unexpected convenience! We have no reservations recommending this cozy cottage.
The property was excellent and far larger than the pictures show. It was very clean and very well situated for a nice get away with friends. We will definitely book again. Kimberly was easy to reach and provided very clear instructions so there was absolutely no confusion
Great weekend getaway place with family. Big enough for us to sit all together. House is nice, view is great. Second time we stayed. Would come back again.
We had a great stay at this property! It was just as advertised and communication was quick. It was such a peaceful place to spend the holidays! The beds were comfy and the extras likes games, puzzles, and books were an awesome touch. We will for sure consider this home next time we visit family.
Great atmosphere and lots of toys for the little ones to use

About the host
Hosted by Kimberly Bolos
I grew up in a small neighboring town just outside Niagara Falls and left the area to attend and eventually graduate from SUNY Geneseo. I relocated to Dallas, TX for a career opportunity but have returned to the area every summer to take in its beauty and many local attractions. Now married with small children of my own, our family sought out and purchased this vacation property. While we reside in Dallas, local relatives manage this property.
Why they chose this property
We sought out this property because of its personal history with my family. It is the same property I would walk past with my dad on our way from the ice cream shop out to the end of the pier. We would wonder what it would be like to own and live in such a beautiful house with such a beautiful view. Western New York and this particular region hold so much natural beauty and provide so many affordable healthy activities that my husband and I want our children to share in these experiences. We share this home with you as a special place to vacation, reconnect with family and create special memories year after year.
What makes this property unique
The location is perfect! Coming from Dallas, TX it is wonderful to enter a relaxing small town atmosphere yet still have access to several activities, attractions, restaurants and shops as you would in a city. It is located across the street from a bustling boathouse, quaint upscale restaurant, and several small shops. Need some fresh vegetables? Drive down the road and stop at one of the many roadside stands whose farmers still accept payment by the honor system. We appreciate this home's proximity to Canada as well as the neighboring U.S. cities such as Lockport, Lewiston, Niagara Falls & Buffalo (quick access to Canada can be made via the Lewiston-Queenston Bridge).
