This is an amazing place: clean, fun, quiet!
We will definitely stay again! Only recommendation is to update the mattresses.. they were a little uncomfortable.
Thank you!
The Game cabin was spectacular! Clean, comfy, cozy, well stocked, and games galore! The property is so beautiful and peaceful tucked away in its own piece of paradise. Check in was super easy and communication with owners was excellent. We really enjoyed the outside property including trails to river. Inside fireplace was so welcoming on chilly nights. Overall, we had a fabulous time and will definitely be back.
Thank you for sharing the Game cabin.
Location to multiple places and things to do in Ashtabula & Geneva made Rustic River ideal. The added experience came from the variety of Fall colors which varied from North, South, East & West.
We, however, found the beds to be noisy.
Overall, very happy with our stay and the uniqueness of the property.
We had an amazing time - the cabin was so comfortable and roomy. The outside has a patio which we used when it started to rain and a dock we sat on and enjoyed the pond. Very quiet and beautiful landscaping. The location is perfect to all the wineries, and the beautiful country roads.
Coming from Arizona back to Ohio where I grew up was a great experience and the green all around this magical property left my wife and I anxious to book our next trip back. My son loved the floating dock on the pond. Yes, we will be back soon!
Thanks for a wonderful stay
We stayed here while attending a swim meet at the Spire Institute. Worked out perfectly as a place for the girls to hang out between sessions. The classic pinball machine was a real hit!
We went to 15 wineries this weekend and stayed at the Game Room, all within 15 miles. There is no oven or stove but there is a hot plate. Big firepit, alot of outdoor sitting, walking trails and pool table.
I will start with the negative but it’s a short list. The fireplace smoked terribly, and the pinball machine doesn’t actually work. Because the fireplace and pinball machine had been selling points for us we were disappointed. But I have to say, the cabin quickly made up for it. Between the games, the trail, the pool table, the wooden raft?, the outdoor firepit, and the plethora of activities on the patio, there’s no way a family with kids could get bored or even make it through all the activities in less than a week. We plan to return and rent all three buildings (the 2-person cottage, the game room, and the main cabin) and fill the rooms with family and friends and just let the kids have a blast playing. My husband and I enjoyed the pool table and time outdoors, and the kitchen was just big enough to comfortably cook meals. All in all a great stay and I’d recommend it to anyone with kids maybe 10-teen.
The game room was awesome. Teens spent most of the trip playing pool, pinball and cards. We also rented the main cabin. Thank you Brian for a great vacation!
It was just as describe on the website. It was perfect. Unfortunately the weather did not cooperate so we did not to check out the trails or the river but we had a wonderful stay. We will return!
