Super peaceful and relaxing

We stayed here in early December and it was very nice. The hosts were polite, the space was clean, the instructions were very clear and access was very easy. Lynden is a very charming little town and we left the farm talking about how excited we were to come back in the summer for the raspberries!

This is the place to stay while in Lynden

Very great place. The surroundings are phenomenal, and Lynden itself is a great little town. The bedrooms are nice and cozy, and the beds themselves are comfortable. The bathroom have a lot of extras in them that you might not typically see. Overall a really great place to stay.

Cozy apartment and a great location!

We had a great time staying on the farm. The apartment was perfect for me and my kids. The rooms were spacious and cozy and having the two bathrooms was great! It was clean and perfectly decorated for a farm apartment. The owner and his grandson were so friendly and we loved the tour of the farm. This is a great place to stay!!! We loved it!

Perfect little getaway

It was so nice to stay here at the farm for our little one night stay. We came to spend time with our son for Easter weekend since he attends Western Washington University. The beds were extremely comfortable. Just the right amount of detail throughout the entire apartment. We would definitely come and stay here again. Thanks Glen and Lisa

Beautiful accommodations, beautiful view, relaxing environment

We arrived in a sudden cloudburst, and our host came rushing to help us get our belongings in out of the rain. The apartment is charmingly furnished and every amenity is available. It was fun to see the cattle and the pig and the goat and the chickens and to walk in the raspberry fields.

Great stay in Lynden

Our stay at the Homestead was fantastic. Everything was exactly as presented. Lisa was very easy to contact and answered all of our questions. She even provided an awesome welcome basket that we all enjoyed. I would highly recommend a stay at the Homestead if in Lynden or the Lynden area.

Quiet, clean, delightful - highly recommend

This is our second stay at the Oostema Farmstead so we are repeat customers. We walked into immaculately clean spaces, tasteful and thoughtful holiday decorations, enjoyed a good night’s sleep in comfortable beds and amazingly soft linens, and loved the fluffy thick soft towels. The Farmstead is so quiet and presented us with some spectacular sunrises that lit up the sky in brilliant pink hues due to its location. Our daughter and son-in-law and their 8 month old stayed in the master bedroom and were able to put the pack and play in the large master bathroom which allowed all three to enjoy a good nights sleep each night. The second bedroom is also good size and just down the hall from the master bedroom which provided additional privacy. Prior to our stay, Lisa was quick to provide us with the check in procedures and was also extremely responsive to any questions that I had. We were there to see our son and his family who live a short distance from the Farmstead which makes it an ideal landing place for us. We will be back!

Comfy, quiet getaway. Perfect for families

We LOVED our stay! Pros: Super comfy beds and linens So cute Bigger space than the pictures appear Animals on the farm to see/feed Comfortable tub to soak in Very responsive host Cons: No kitchen. We did take out for dinner and brought easy breakfast/lunch options to make in the kitchenette. Very basic kitchenette (bring butter, etc) Flies (but it’s a farm, so definitely forgivable) Internet didn’t work for the 4 days were there (but this seemed to be the first time that’s happened - so I wouldn’t take too much note of this con). Definitely recommend this getaway!!

Farm Paradise Oasis

Warmly greeted and supported throughout our stay. Property grounds are beautifully manicured. The grandkids loved the farm animals (so did the adults). The hot tub was fantastic. The access to the garden for fresh veggies we barbecued on the grill and bowl full of fresh picked raspberries we’re delicious. The 2- bedroom house was quite sufficient for our family with three grand kids. It was very clean and comfortable. We will be back.

Hi, I am Lisa, your Host,

We offer a two-bedroom self-contained apartment and a one-bedroom Tiny House. Choose your place to stay that fits your needs. Both accommodations have beautiful views of the panoramic farm fields surrounding the property. We encourage our guests to walk around and take full advantage of the peaceful surroundings. Whichever you choose, you'll enjoy a tranquil stay. The apartment features two bedrooms and two bathrooms a King size bed in the master bedroom and queen in the second bedroom. Our Tiny house has a queen bed. All bedding has extremely comfortable fine linens.

Stay with us for an experience, unlike anything you've had before. We do have the best sunsets, and you can see the horizon for miles. Unlike staying in the city.

We have a few cows and acres of Raspberry Fields. Glen, my husband, works on the farm and is also a Contractor. Hosting is my full-time job. :) The reason we love Hosting, is because of the interesting people we meet from all over the country, and world.
When you travel through Western Washington, don't "stay" in the city, you can stay in the city anytime. You will love the freedom you feel when you get out of the town even a little way. We invite you to join us at the farm and enjoy the quiet life of stress-free living where your neighbors are nowhere around, and the sirens don't sound at night. Welcome to the farm.

Why they chose this property

We are a 5 minute drive to downtown Lynden.
Bikes are a great way to get around the Country side and to Lynden.

Forget public transportation... this is 'rural' America! For a small fee we are willing to pick you up at the bus or train station or airport.

We are surrounded by 117 acres of farm land and have no neighbors. If your looking for peace and quiet, look no further. We also offer a Hot Tub, fire pit, BBQ and a few more things. Just ask us and we can see if we can accommodate.

What makes this property unique

We have no Neighbors :) our property is completely private and off the main road. The only neighbors you have will be us, upstairs, but we are very quiet
.The neighborhood is rural and quiet. Though close to the main road, the house is tucked away on a one lane road. You can walk around the property anytime during the day.
