Dirty unsanitary...do not book.
Our experience with this property is unfortunate. We arrived to find the following:
Personal items belonging to tenants in bathroom. Used toothbrush and wet towels.
Personal items in bedroom, no where to hang clothes, lighters and cords on night table and paper garbage.
Personal food items in fridge and dirty shelves.
Personal food items on counters
Beers cases on floor where the white cabinets are shown in the listing pictures
Dead flowers in vase on kitchen table
Duster on couch
Cleaning products on cabinet and yet floors were sticky
Personal bills and paperwork all over office and side tables in living room
Soiled couches
Nowhere to hang our coats as had to move tenants coats and sweaters
And many more issues all with photos...and remember photos don’t lie!!
We documented it alll and left after 20 minuets and found other arrangements for our stay in Amsterdam.
I did not want to write this review but the property manager/owner did not want to provide a full refund. He assured us the property had been cleaned and was acceptable and yet he was not present at all that day. He was on a bus with no internet during our experience. Unacceptable. Do not book this property. Two weeks later still no refund and he just offered our security deposit back after 17 days knowing full well we never stayed in his apartment...We had flown all night and this was our first two hours in Amsterdam. I spent countless hours of wasted vacation time on this property dealing with emails and phone to Homeaway and the property owner. Waste of time!!
Again....I did not want to write this review. I wanted a quiet full refund and now I am seeking recourse via my credit card company as this property owner will not reply.
I will continue to voicw my experience on various social mediums and travel blogs. Vacations should be a wonderful experience full of amazing memories....this experience tainted our vacation for sure!!!!!!!!
