About the host
Hosted by Jenna Madsen

Hi! We’re Scott and Cathy Sunderland! We’ve always had a deep love for farming and the simple joys of country life. Originally from Lehi, Utah, we milked cows and grew crops to support the herd on our dairy farm. When we moved to Chester, Utah, in 1980, we brought not just our experience, but also pieces of our original farm, incorporating them into our new home on the hill, which we built alongside Scott’s parents and brother.
For many years, we ran a successful dairy operation, but in 2012, we sold our milk cows and embraced new opportunities. Today, our farm is still family-owned and operated, with our daughter Jenna and her husband, Brett, joining us to carry on the tradition. Together, we’ve expanded beyond conventional farming—adding turkeys, beef cows, and helped them with their pumpkin patch and barn renovation for weddings and events.
Wanting to share a piece of our farm with others, we decided to build Bar S Farmhouse—a place where guests can relax, explore, and experience the land we love so much. Whether you’re here to take in the stunning views, enjoy the fresh country air, or make lasting memories, we hope you feel at home.
