Too expensive for what you get
Situated next to the chateau in Castiglioncello inmidst a shadowy pine forrest (although, when it‘s hot, the loud cicadas can become a bit annoying). City and beaches are nice and ten minutes by foot. Stunning views from the appartement to the sea. I’s a house with multiple appartements and the photos are obviously showing several of them which is a bit misleading. The owners are living in the same house and are trying to be helpful. However, the interior is quite old and has a musty smell that reminds of antique shops. Both bath and kitchen are worn, yet tolerable clean. However a lot of things definitely need repair or are even beyond, for instance the smelly and worn out sleeping coach and the fridge. Wifi was not stable (days without internet) and had a weak signal when we could log in, although the owners found „no problem“. The umbrella on the balcony is fixed with cable ties, so you have to move table and sun chairs to get them into the shadow. But, beware: the legs of the table are loose, as well as parts of sun chairs. In the cupboards we found old lightbulbs and stuff which seems to have been collected over decades. For this price you can expect more.
