We did not spend much time in the house. We were gone every day at 9am and back by 8/9 pm.
Spent time hiking and shopping location was great for walking to breakfast and back to retrieve the car.
All in all it was nice.
Our family had such a great time. This property has great bedding and comfy beds. Loved the outdoor space. Basic kitchen but everything we needed. Fantastic location for all things in town. We barely got in our car. Our favorite was the daily live music right up the street at the Ivy Inn. Would absolutely come back!
We love staying at this house and had another wonderful vacation there. Our adult kids loved their first visit to Bar Harbor and loved the house. The location is just perfect! Thanks to Pam and Scott !
This was our favorite rental that we have ever had in Maine. The hosts were wonderful and the house was exquisite. My children loved the huge backyard and I couldn’t believe how close it was to town! The kitchen was perfect, there was a huge dining room for a big family, and there were lots of bed options. We really loved the master bathroom and new appliances. We already reserved it again for next year.
Great house on great street in downtown Bar Harbor. Rooms were spacious and nice. House was very clean and had all the amenities you would want. Look forward to staying there again,
Loved staying at this house! It was beautiful and very clean! The location was amazing walking distant to everything downtown bar harbor. And a very short drive to Acadia park. I actually did a couple morning runs from the house into the park as well. There was a bus system that could be taken to get to the park if didn’t want to drive
Can’t wait to stay here again, there isn’t anything I would change!
We enjoyed our stay at Pam's house. It was clean and had all the necessities for a family of five. Our kids each appreciated having their own room. The back yard is spacious and private. Having parking was tremendous and we were within walking distance of everything in Bar Harbor. The free shuttles are 5 minutes away. The pier is 10 minutes walk. So many restaurant options and shops to enjoy. The house had everything we needed to cook quick breakfasts. We dined out for lunch and dinner. Really appreciated the Hike Acacia book that was on the bookshelf. It aided us through the entire week. I recommend this house to anyone wanting to stay in Bar Harbor. You're out of the way of the busy main street, but accessible to everything.
The house was perfect for our group. The location was the best! We were able to walk downtown. The hosts were very responsive. We would definitely return.
The description of this home is as promised. Great location, quiet street but next to EVERYTHING, clean, comfortable, and nicely appointed. I would recommend this over staying at any Inn or hotel in the area. Pam was accessible if needed and was very easy to work with. Enjoy!
The house was great and exceeded our expectations. It was very clean and nicely appointed throughout, having everything you will need for an enjoyable/extended stay. The location is excellent, being a very short walk to all of the restaurants, shops, and other amenities that Bar Harbor has to offer. It is also on a quiet side street (with dedicated parking - very convenient if you have a rental car), which made it a nice retreat from the busier areas of town. Location also makes for an easy/short drive to Acadia entrance, as well as other areas of MDI. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and if we ever make it back to Bar Harbor - this will be the first place we will look to book. Definitely recommend!
We spent a week with another couple and couldn't have stayed in a nicer place. Very comfortable and furnished. Nice quiet street. Easy walk to all the Bar Harbor sights, shops and restaurants.
This property was in the village of Bar Harbor and walking distance to multiple places, had a great time with the family and the house had everything we needed and would definitely return again, thanks again for a wonderful stay
Location couldn’t be better for walking just about everywhere including easy access to the shore trail. On a dead end street which reduces vehicular traffic. Several Acadia entrances are close by, and a fenced back yard is perfect for kids who need to run around. Owners are close by and very attentive. Kitchen is exceptionally well-appointed and we lacked for nothing. Highly recommend.
Location was excellent with easy access to Bar Harbor establishments and close to entrance of park. The house was well equipped but somewhat eclectic in its decorations. Beds were very comfortable.
We had a great family vacation with our three adult kids at this house in downtown Bar Harbor. The house was clean and well- appointed. We were near shore path and near Main St.
We loved the backyard and the cot hole set.
My husband and I and our two adult daughters and their husbands love staying here as a family. The property is as quiet as can be, yet steps from downtown. It's also an easy walk to the Shore Path. There's something in Acadia for everyone from tide pooling and swimming to strenuous hikes and bike rides. The backyard is securely fenced in now, making it safe for a dog. The layout inside the house accommodates 6 adults nicely.
We have stayed in 10 or 12 VRBO rentals in the Bar Harbor area over the last 30 years and this was our favorite by far. As I have read in other reviews, the location is absolutely perfect: close to downtown, the town green, shopping, restaurants, and most importantly it was not only close to Acadia NP, it is also clos
We enjoyed our stay at the house. It had everything we needed and it was the perfect size for our family. We had a couple of questions during our stay, and the owners were extremely responsive. It is the quintessential New England home and you can literally walk anywhere in Bar Harbor and not have to worry about the car or parking.

The Allen's' have lived in Bar Harbor for over 40 years. We owned a restaurant in town for 20 years before we sold it and bought Moseley Cottage Inn and Town Motel. We have owned that for 10 years. We bought a family home this winter and have worked very hard everyday to get it ready for their home. Since we live at the Inn in the summer we have opened it up for weekly rentals for the 2017 season. We hope that you will appreciate the charm and coziness as much as we do.You can walk to everything in town. The location is the best!!!! We also have put up a fence so the lovely back yard is totally fenced in.
Why they chose this property
