About this property
Spacious 4-bedroom house overlooking Shadow Mountain Lake
What a view! This cabin is just what you have been looking for in a get-away. Plenty of sleeping space, lots of outdoor space, a beautiful view of Shadow Mountain Lake and beyond to Grand Lake on the wrap-around porch; a great place to relax after a day of hiking, boating, golfing, snowmobiling, ice fishing, or skiing. Located just 2 miles to downtown Grand Lake with quaint shops and restaurants, 8 miles to the west entrance of Rocky Mountain National Park, there is no shortage of things to see and do within a few minutes of the home.
If you prefer to stay in and relax you'll enjoy the views while sipping on your favorite beverage from the deck, make a home cooked meal, read or play games on the game table in basement.
There's a good chance you'll see some wildlife including fox, moose, deer, bald eagles, osprey, hummingbirds, and black bears during your stay. If you go into RMNP, you'll likely see more of the local residents including elk and big horn sheep.
In the spring and early summer, aspens come to life and wildflowers dot the property including Columbine (the state flower), daisies, wild roses, arnica and more.
Take in the beauty of the dark night sky, if you have clear weather, this is a great place to see some shooting stars, planets, satellites, and the Milky Way.
The perfect vacation is waiting!
