Disconnect and Recharge at This Off-Grid Solar-Powered Cabin
Experience the simple beauty of rural Tennessee at this hand-built, one-room cabin, perfectly designed for those craving peace and solitude. Set on a still-operating century farm, this cozy retreat runs completely off the grid with solar-powered electricity, a wood stove for warmth, and refreshing spring water. A separate bathhouse offers modern comforts with hot water, a stand-up shower, and a propane heater.
Relax on the front porch while soaking in the serene views of open fields and nearby hills, where you might spot grazing horses and cows. Hike the surrounding hills, stargaze under the clear country sky, and enjoy the quiet rhythm of nature. This is your perfect unplugged getaway—rustic, restful, and refreshingly simple.
Pets: Well behaved pet always welcome! Be sure and add them as a registered guest as a fee does apply.
Smoking: Smoking is prohibited inside the home. Smoking outside is permitted, please be mindful of trash such as cigarette butts.
Unregistered guests: Please register all overnight guests in order for us to adequately prepare.
Checkout: Checkout is at 10 a.m. Late checkout may be accommodated for an additional fee of $50, to be agreed upon with the host at the time of reservation.
Trash and recycling: Regular trash consumption is included in the cleaning fee. However, should guests need to take out trash during the stay message your host & we will come pick up at your convenience. Trash should never be left around the outside of the property.
Noise: Guests and visitors must keep noise to a minimum so as not to disturb the occupants of neighboring properties—especially during nighttime hours (e.g. 11 p.m. – 8 a.m.), and upon arrival and departure.
Parking: Free and provided parking attached to property in the front and side of the cabin.
Illegal activities: All illegal activities, not limited to the use of illegal substances, are strictly prohibited.
House access: An unique code will be sent through the booking site to the primary registered guest to be used throughout your stay.
Dishes: Starter kit of Dishwasher pods and soap is provided with your stay. Feel free to use throughout your stay. Although, do not feel obligated to clean before your departure as cleaning is included.
Maintenance: Please inform the host in the event that anything breaks or isn’t functioning properly, and we will do our best to address it during your stay.
Rearranging furniture: Please do not rearrange any of the furniture within the property. Outdoors, there are patio chairs that you can rearrange as you please.
Fire prevention: Do not smoke or use candles indoors, and be sure to turn off the stove when it’s not in use to prevent fires.
Appliances and electronics: All welcome to use during your stay but please keep in mind the limited energy through solar panels.
