Exploring Sheridan & Beyond
Sheridan, Wyoming, is more than a stopover—it’s a gateway to adventure. Tucked between rolling plains and the majestic Bighorn Mountains, this town is a blend of Old West charm, modern culture, and breathtaking nature.

The Bighorn Mountains & Red Grade Road
A short drive west, and you’re on Red Grade Road, a winding pathway up into the Bighorn Mountains. It’s a haven for hikers, bikers, and anyone who craves crisp mountain air and panoramic views. In the fall, the road is lined with golden aspens; in the summer, wildflowers paint the hillsides.

Waterfalls & Day Trips
For those who chase waterfalls, Sheridan delivers. Shell Falls, hidden deep in the Bighorns, crashes down into rugged canyons, its mist cooling the air around you. A little closer, Porcupine Falls and Bucking Mule Falls offer scenic hikes with rewarding, picture-perfect views.

Wildlife & Open Skies
Here, the wild still thrives. Deer graze at dusk, hawks circle overhead, and if you’re lucky, you might spot a moose wandering through the foothills. The night sky is unpolluted and endless, perfect for stargazing.

Wellness & Local Spots
For those looking to unwind, Sheridan offers yoga studios, local spas, and mindful spaces to reset your energy. Local Nakamal, the town’s only kava lounge, provides an alcohol-free retreat where you can sip traditional kava and meet fellow travelers and locals alike.

Incomplete Property

This property strikes me as someone’s hobby on the back burner. They dangerously hung plastic string lights in the sauna which had melted on previous use and not been noticed- so they clearly hadn’t even opened it, much less sanitized it. The stove was dirty. Every single trash was missing a bag. There wasn’t a welcome manual with instructions for anything. There wasn’t enough bedding for all the beds in the home. The kitchen lacked basic necessities. The only coffee provided was pumpkin spice. The bath towels were still brand new, with the tags on them, which indicated they had never been cleaned. We must have been their first guests after their own personal use. The TV required we sign in with our own accounts. We were asked to take the trash out but there were no clear trash bins assigned to the property which made it feel like we were stealing trash space from neighbors. Their responses were delayed and dismissive. They offered me a “kick back” but I was still charged the full amount. I look forward to staying anywhere else but here when we return frequently next year.
