The property was fine, as advertised. But, do not expect to get your $250 refundable deposit back. Don’t even expect to get an answer to questions about it. We actually left the property in better condition than we found it, with a hairdryer and cookie sheet we purchased for it. I feel like they simply stole my money, and they don’t have any interest in righting the wrong.
We are all readers and game players and the lighting in the unit was not good for either of those activities. Very noisy early morning neighbor below us that was outside yelling each morning between 5 and 6 am that woke us daily. Good location otherwise.
Great location., but the house can be difficult to find in the dark. Beautiful home. 3 private bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms. Full kitchen Not a place for kids. Stairs to the lower bedrooms. Clean. Private.
The cabin is incredibly beautiful and made for a really comfortable, relaxing stay. There's light throughout - so many skylights! The cabin was clean and had everything I needed. Highly recommend.
Cozy bohemian style house, fun creative decor. Very clean and updated. A short drive to town to restaurants, coffee shops and galleries. The directions were good, no problem finding it, maybe a little difficult at night. Surrounded by redwoods. The hosts were extremely responsive. Loved it, I would stay again!
Enjoyed our stay here, very comfortable, great vibe, and close by to the river, Guerneville, Monte Rio, Wineries, and only 20 minutes to beaches at Jenner. Only demerit is for really narrow roads in and out, and some noisy neighbors. Otherwise, would stay here again.
We enjoyed our stay here. The directions to find the house were a little confusing at first, but once we found it, we had no problem getting in and out of the narrow hillside location. We appreciated the house itself, the comfortable beds, artistic decor, outdoor seating area, and the location, but were surprised by the lack of cooking/kitchen supplies. We didn't even have basics such as salt and pepper, and there were only a few paper towels, a single dish towel, and a couple of older, low quality pots and pans. Since the (very friendly) host lives next door we were able to get a few seasonings, but a small investment in some basic kitchen supplies would go a long way in making the home that much more enjoyable.
The decor was clearly thought out and created a real Bohemian feel which was just so charming for a little place nestled in the trees. Loved the bedroom configuration with one bedroom on the main level and the 2 down below. Our room on the main level had a big skylight which allowed us to see the moon and trees above us while in bed which was romantic. The living room and kitchen have a lot of unique pieces and paintings and was well stocked with the essentials. The manager was very responsive and accommodating. We accidentally left a water bottle and we were able to run back in the afternoon after we checked out and retrieve it. All and all we really loved the place and would highly recommend it! The only negative is the lights in the living room are not that bright at night but can also be a positive as it creates mood lighting.

Grossly misrepresented and overpriced
While not being without charm, this place is misrepresented and overpriced. There is no dining table; two bedrooms are heated by electric space heaters that give out insufficient heat which, given that the place is not well insulated, means cold rooms and a possible fire hazard; there are no amenities; except for soap, many light fixtures don’t work; there’s no light for the outdoor set of stairs and in the heart of wine country there are no wine glasses (plastic doesn’t cut it); superficially clean but try looking for something under a bed; in a place that supposedly can host 6 people there are only three chipped coffee mugs and I could go on. I suggest that VRBO do more vetting of the properties they represent , if they want to keep their clientele!
We really enjoyed our stay at the BK Villas Bohemian Retreat, and would fully recommend it to anyone in the area!
The artwork all over the house was fascinating, encouraging us to develop some pretty interesting back stories while hanging out. The place was clean, well kept, welcoming, and perfectly tech friendly. (Keyless entry, a fireplace that worked with the thermostat, etc). Beds were comfy as well as the bedding.
My friends really appreciated the upstairs shower, which has a skylight.
The downstairs bedrooms are connected via stairs on the outside for each room, which we weren't expecting but was fine.
As for parking - it was definitely a bit confusing. We knew about the extra parking at the bottom of Willow road, but planned to unload items and drive back down - it was a little bit challenging as there wasn't any room to turn around, and it's a relatively trafficked one lane road - so we ended up having to reverse and drive up a few times to let cars through. We're also still not entirely sure where we were supposed to park at the bottom of the road; but our cars weren't towed or ticketed so guess it worked out ok either way!
As far as how the apartment kitchen was stocked, there were plenty of utensils and enough cookware to cook dinner and breakfast, which was really appreciated. Only items that seemed in short supply were wine glasses (there was only 1) and coffee mugs, which there were few. And maybe bring an extra spatula.
We'd brought quite a few of our own kitchen supplies / spices / etc for the trip, and that seemed to be the right move to complement the existing supplies in the home.
We would look forward to staying in this location again.
We wanted a quick getaway with 6 close friends and enjoyed the house! Close to the river. We didn't use the pool. The house was comfortable for 6 women to share the 3 beds. Comfortable beds although I wish we had a few more towels, blankets, etc. Such a cute house with very mood lighting.
This property is very unique. We would have liked to have had a tv but other than that it was okay. Very close walk to the river which was nice. However the next door neighbor woke us up both mornings that we stayed. He was screaming obscenities and throwing things around his back yard it appeared he was In some sort of drug induced psychosis. Since the neighbor was really close to the property it literally sounded like he was right outside our window. His screaming which included a creepy laugh was pretty unsettling to wake up to. If I had children at this property and I’d be pretty upset.

A feast for the eyes!
The decor and style of this home is exceptional. All furnishings look like they have been carefully procured over time to create an impactful sensory experience. All bathrooms have up to date sinks and faucets which is always a good thing. Beds were comfortable and the bathroom towels were thick and smelled good. Parking is difficult. There is only room for one car at the house otherwise you have to park down the hill. The large shower on the first floor with a sky light is very cool but unfortunately housekeeping missed a big clump of hair stuck to the shower wall from previous guests. The kitchen is adequately equipped just wish there was more formal seating for eating. Stove had two burner covers covered in foil that were soiled from previous guests. Would have been nice if the foil was replaced prior to our stay.
Location was great. Guerneville, Armstrong Redwoods, Jenner coastline - all easy driving distance. The decor was wonderful and very comfortable. We only stayed one night so didn't use the kitchen or any amenities. But would love to come back for a longer stay.
Easy check-in, Owners next door, saw to our requests!
Everything needed for our stay.
Only discomfort was the main floor bedroom was practically all exposed. Not much privacy with shared bath for living space.
However, we made it work and other guests were thoughtful about barging in for kitchen and living space needs.
We would do it AGAIN!
Amazing property, a mere few blocks from the river with a spectacular home. Great amenities, incredibly comfortable beds, wonderful decor. Would definitely stay again.

Air conditioning was needed. Outside could have had better lighting. Kitchen needs to be stocked with more amenities for folks who want to cook. Faviana was very pleasant and helpful.

Sweet, interesting and cozy spot!
We loved the cute whimsical cabin. It is warm and inviting. I thought that a-lot of love and attention had been put into the place. The beds are ultra comfy and it was nice to have so many bathrooms. There were condiments in the fridge, lots of bottled water, the towels were folded specially and blankets and linens were lain with care! Really nice touches.
The place was clean overall but I noticed hair on the bathroom floor and dry foam in the expresso latte maker. But hey, this was the 1st place that had a latte maker!
A couple things to note, 2 of the bedroom spaces were on a separate floor downstairs. Also, there was a slight but subtle sewer odor in this part of the place.
All in all this is a cute little place and totally worth the price. I don’t regret staying here one bit!
