Wonderful Winter Getaway

We enjoyed staying in this home so much! Karen has taken the time to organize this home with your every need. We have used VRBO for years. We have never been in a home this organized ever! This patio home was very quiet, safe, and right on the golf course. It is very convenient to the restaurants, shopping, and fun activities of Oro Valley. Our only complaint is it is already booked for next winter. We are thankful to Karen and Cherif! They were kind and responsive to our every need.

Fabulous Home

This home is perfect in every way. The Owner Karen B has prepared every detail to absolute perfection The location is quiet, extraordinarily beautiful and central to everything in the Oro Valley. The privacy and views of the Catalina mountains from the patio is unsurpassed. Thank You Karen for the best 2 month stay ever. Favorite place to stay in Oro Valley

My husband and I had a great time at this well appointed patio home on the golf course . Views are very pleasant, the beds very comfortable and the home very well equipped. We were a short drive to the Aquatic Center where we swam and Catalina State Park where we hiked. The location was excellent. The owners are warm and carrying folks who were wonderful to communicate with. We would stay again and will recommend this home to our friends

What a pleasant surprise

We were very happy with our stay from the first minute upon arrival until the last minute of our departure. Clean, comfortable and just the right size. There was enough of everything to get us started on our vacation. We especially enjoyed the patio. We could grill out and enjoy our meals and take in the beautiful mountain scenery. We were able to have fresh fruit every morning as the orange and grapefruit trees provided us with delicious vitamin C. Having been there during the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic the patio became our refuge. We enjoyed many hours reading and playing games when activities we thought we would be doing closed. The Belamane's were very responsive to our concerns about the virus and I feel I made a friend. We look forward to renting again

Christmas in Arizona

Our stay at the Balamane patio home was very enjoyable. Being on the golf course with the beautiful views of the Pusch Ridge will always be remembered. We played ten rounds of golf on this course. We also walked with our two Corgis every day. The golf course was a great place to walk, and enjoyed seeing javelinas, coyotes, quail, and rabbits. The location of the home was perfect for shopping, eating, and movies. The yard had a grapefruit and orange tree with the fruit being delicious. Arizona in a home like this is hard to leave.

Convenient and Comfortable

We had an excellent experience. The owner was available and helpful. There was a power outage and we only had the garage door opener. She sent someone over right away with a key. The house is clean, comfortable and has everything you could need- nicely labeled and organized. Thank you!

A Green Oasis

Our winter here was unexpectedly wonderful, as it was only the second time we had stayed so close to the mountains. The green of the golf course and its towering trees added a cheery note. We even enjoyed the golfers, who livened up our daily view. The master bedroom especially was very comfortable and spacious. Altogether this was a cozy, comfortable stay in our favorite western city. Thanks to the Balamanes for their hospitality.

This a such a great property to be close to lots of great places to go.

Wonderful place to “be home” while away and still have Great restaurants within minutes. Grill outside, great cooking easy inside if you don’t want to go out. Lots of room to spread out with a group or just hang out on a patio and watch the amazing sunsets. Great owners are readily available should they be needed. Can’t beat the location in Oro Valley.

Wonderful home away from home!

This is really like being home in a beautiful setting. Everything you need in a home away from home is here. Full kitchen, charcoal grill, spacious living room, large dining tables, great bedrooms (with great beds!). Amazing sunsets, would confess we didn't see a lot of sunrises! And you can see the full moon over the mountains at night. And the owners are truly involved in making sure that your stay is as perfect as you imagined a holiday would be. We are returning soon! Loved the entire experience.

A virtually perfect vacation!

We have nothing but praise for this fabulous home away from the nor'easters that we would have experienced otherwise. The space was great, including a large 2nd bedroom. All of the appliances worked well (we have heard from friends renting elsewhere that this is not always the case). The serenity of sitting on the patio and looking at golf course + mountains + hummingbirds could not be beat. Plus, the house is decorated with amazing wall hangings. All the shopping one could want is within a mile or so, and it is only a short bicycle ride to access to The Loop -- a nicely paved path that encircles the city of Tucson. We will most definitely be returning!

Wonderful home! Spacious, comfortable, and decorated to be more like home than rental.

We loved it! The views, the comfort, and the location made it a PRIME experience for us. We were close to our favorite restaurants, shipping, and golf. The amenities in this home were outstanding, and we felt very comfortable here. Hated to leave! Highly recommend this beautiful property! Also a stargazer's delight. Hope to return to this gorgeous home away from home.

Great vacation home in a fabulous location

This Oro Valley gem was a terrific place to spend time in the Catalina Mtns. The home is attractive, clean, comfortable, nicely laid out, and well stocked with everything (kitchen goods, bar ware, linens and sheets, as well as games and books). There is a shaded, spacious patio, which makes a great addition to the living space. We had meals outdoors and enjoyed the many birds, and grapefruit and oranges from the trees. The neighborhood is friendly and good for walking. The southern Oro Valley location is ideal. El Conquistador is close to shopping (Trader Joe's, Whole Foods, Safeway) and many restaurants. There's also easy access to the bike path and numerous hiking trails. A great plus is the Oro Valley Community Center, which makes its facilities available to all -- so if golf, swimming and tennis interest you, it's close by and the rates are very reasonable. We also took advantage of the Oro Valley Library. The hosts, Karen and Cherif, were a pleasure to work with and extremely helpful and thoughtful. We will be back!

Our Favorite!

We’ve been renting many vacation rentals recently because we are relocating. We are a bit fussy and particular, and this was definitely our favorite rental. This is the first review we’ve written about a rental and it deserves one. Karen, the owner, is extremely easy to work with, very nice and responsive. Her place is clean, comfortable, and we didn’t want to leave. We were hoping her tenants after us had to cancel so we could extend our stay. My husband is quite the cook and said this was the best equipped kitchen he’s ever seen in a rental. That’s quite a compliment! We made a full Christmas dinner here. We really liked that everything was labeled so it was easy to find things. This owner realizes that you may not be familiar with her place. This rental is the perfect mix of feeling as if everything is there just for you, but knowing the owner comes frequently to check in and make sure everything is ok. It’s hard to find that balance in a rental and this one does it. It was great to have the desk to use as a workspace in the second bedroom. As a tennis fan, I was overjoyed to be able to watch the Tennis Channel! When we arrived there new high-quality towels. There are plenty of kitchen, bathroom and cleaning supplies. There are some books and games which is nice to have. It’s the little extras that make this rental stand out. This rental does not cut corners and really does feel like a home. The location is fantastic. I’m sure I’m leaving out other positives about this place because there are so many. We only wish we could have stayed until we relocate permanently! Thanks to the owners for everything.

Home away from home!!!

This was my first VRBO experience and we loved it. The home is filled with everything you need. The location is fantastic, close to many great stores like Whole Foods, Trader Joes, Sprouts. This area does not feel congested at all. We were there to look for a second home and to feel the vibe in Oro Valley. This home was a wonderful retreat after many long days of house hunting. I especially loved the shower in the master bath and the towels they supply are not thin and junky!!! Bravo Karen!!!

Beautiful Views and Exceptionally Quiet!

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our time at this comfortable Oro Valley home. The location was convenient to shopping, bike paths and hotel accommodations for out of town guests. (Note: the El Conquistador Hotel is undergoing renovation at this time, but remains open.) The home itself is very comfortable as the rooms are large. The master bed is soft and relaxing and the queen mattress in the guest room was rated quite highly by our guest of a week. The kitchen, though small, was easy to use with several cooks and it was exceptionally well stocked with cookware and dishes. The patio was comfortable with beautiful views of the mountains and the orange and grapefruit trees were amazing in their bountiful fruits with their just-off-the-tree freshness. The home is an older one and the owners have worked hard to continue to update and improve the contents (brand new dishwasher, for example!). The bathrooms still need updating and I considered taking off a star, but the owners are so helpful, everything works well, and we were very comfortable there, so I gave it a 5.

Sunshine and Relaxation

The accommodations were extremely comfortable with spacious rooms and a fantastic view of the Catalina Mountains. The patio home was fully appointed with everything one might need to enjoy an extended stay. The home was colorful and furnished in a Southwest design motif. The home owner provided numerous publications regarding area attractions and sightseeing adventures.

Peaceful and comfortable

The 2-bedroom condo on the golf course at El Conquistador Hilton Resort in Oro Valley was a refreshing place to come back to after exploring Tucson in the heat of August. The decor was delightfully Southwest, beds were comfortable and supplies more than adequate. There was no neighbor noise at all, and my little toy poodle was very at home there too. Walking the dog on a leash was no problem, however she could sneak under the patio fence so we didn't leave her alone outside. The grounds were clean and folks picked up doggie litter adequately for the most part. It was frightfully hot mid-August (reached new highs that week!) so I would recommend cooler times to make the most of golfing the the area. We drove to Mr. Lemmon for an afternoon of much cooler temps at $8500+ elevation one day. All in all, I would recommend this condo for anyone who wants space and lots of sunshine, inside and out. Lots of opportunities to explore the more rugged attractions of the region, as well.

Fun condo in very nice setting

Our rental worked out well and the owner was good to work with. The descriptions and pictures were accurate: we loved the condo design, decorating, and the layout. This is a relaxing and quiet place. There was never any neighbor noise and golf course activity was minimal in May. The mountain views are gorgeous. We wish we could have stayed longer and hope to come back (North Carolina)

Great introduction to Tucson...

You will enjoy your stay....the location is great for golf, sightseeing, shopping, etc. The mountain views are wonderful. As noted by other reviews, the bedrooms are large. The townhouse accommodates whatever you bring with you. We were also fortunate to enjoy the sweet oranges and grapefruits. Karen is a delight and very responsive. Thank you Karen for sharing your home with us.

Excellent home and location in Oro Valley

The townhouse is excellent and has a great location. There are nice views of the mountains from the patio. The house is decorated nicely southwest décor, has great amenities and is very well equipped. The property was very clean and well maintained. The two bedrooms are very large, and the beds comfy. The owners left excellent instructions and were a pleasure to deal with. The listing description and photographs accurately portray the property. The townhouse was a perfect setting for a trip to bring my mother back to visit family and friends in and around Tucson. My mother loved the large bed in the master bedroom and the spa tub in the adjoining bath. She has a hard time getting into most bathtubs as the sides were too high -- this tub was perfect. We would definitely consider returning to this townhouse for any future visits, and would recommend it to friends.

Highly recommended!

We totally enjoyed our two month stay at this clean, well maintained patio home on Pusch Ridge's plush second hole with beautiful mountain views. Early morning and late afternoon walks along the cart path provided great exercise for our dog. The owners thought of everything! They were very friendly and responsive. The area offers many varied hiking opportunities, bike trails, and golf courses. Tennis courts are minutes away. We enjoyed Catalina State Park, Pima Air and Space Museum, Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum, the Tucson Botanical Gardens, Saguaro National Park, Biosphere, Sabino Canyon, and Mt. Lemmon Scenic Byway. Sunrise over the mountain from the east patio and sunset views from the front yard are amazing. This gorgeous patio home has plenty of comfortable room for four.

My husband and I met at the University of Arizona where I was studying education and he was studying chemical engineering. We have since moved to New Orleans, but have never gotten Arizona out of our blood. We have many family members who remain in the Tucson area, and we visit often. It's nice to have a place of our own to entertain family and friends when we have a chance to come out this way.

Why they chose this property

We stayed at the El Conquistador one year, and thought this would be the perfect home away from home for us. We chose to keep the Arizona decor because it is so different from our New Orleans decor....and when we travel to Tucson, we want to experience the 'feel' of Tucson. The rich, vibrant colors and southwestern art capture this for us. We hope you appreciate the charm of this home as much as we do. We look forward to sharing it with you and hearing about your stay in Tucson.

What makes this property unique

When we walked into this property, we were drawn to the back where three sets of sliding glass doors and large windows give you a breathtaking view of Pusch Ridge and the golf course fairway. My jaw must have dropped. I was sold immediately. The fact that this property is located inside the El Conquistador resort was icing on the cake.
