About this property
Brand new! Cozy and safe lockout unit in Kihei condo. Close to everything!
Escape to this charming studio in picturesque Kihei. This fabulous rental features 1 cozy bedroom with a queen bed, perfect for a single or couple's getaway. Enjoy the convenience of amenities like WiFi and AC during your stay. Experience the magic of Kihei at this studio. Unit has small fridge, microwave and coffee maker, but not a complete kitchen. Tons of restaurants within walking distance. Surfing right across the street at Kalama Park, paddle an outrigger canoe with a local crew. 7 minute walk to Charlie Youngs Beach and the famous Kamaole Beachs (1,2 and 3) are just beyond and an easy walk.
Of course having a car also opens up another ton of options too. Drive to the top of Mount Haleakala, tour a goat farm with award winning cheese in Upcountry, visit a winery and Ocean Vodka Farm, as well as Kula Lavendar Farm where you can see forever. The air at that elevation is amazing! If you love horses and rainbow eucalytus, they are all Upcountry as well.
Almost everyone has heard about the infamous Road to Hana! Well worth the day driving out there sightseeing and stopping at numerous waterfalls for spectacular picture taking. So much to do, so little time! The drive with all its one way bridges and countless hairpin turns is an adventure and to be enjoyed at a leisurely pace....never rushed.
The beaches of the South Shore are wonderfuland there are many places to snorkel and see turtles and in season humpback whales. Or take a catamaran out to Molokini Crater and and have a BBQ on board while snorkelling and swimming in some of the clearest waters you have ever seen.
Need more?? Try ziplining in the forest. Hiking in the rain forest, taking a helicopter ride! If it is affordable, a helicopter ride is my personal favorite thing I have ever done here, bar none!
Luau more your style? Lots of options there as well. Want to watch a hula and fire dance show?? They are performed 2 nights a week at South Maui
Gardens which borders our propery. They also have 15+ food trucks on their property and beautiful plants to see.
After you come home totally exhausted from your day, shower and relax in the comfortable bed and watch TV if youo can stay awake that long!
THere is a reason that they say, "Maui No Ka Oi"...that means Maui is the best! Come visit, you won't be sorry. See you soon?

About the host
Your host

I am retired from the Hospitality Industry. Originally from Boston, I have lived on many islands since my early 20's. Bermuda, Nantucket, Cape Cod, St. Thomas, and now Maui since 1989. I love Maui because it has the very best weather of anywhere on the planet, as far as I am concerned. Currently I have no pets but have enjoyed and loved dogs and cats that chose me as their human during their lives.
Why they chose this property
Directly across from the ocean, the Island Surf Condominium has been my home for the past 30 years. It is very walkable to grocers, restaurants, bars, food trucks, surfing, swimming, snorkeling and outrageous sunsets! It is a very desirable location for tourists with lots to see and do. The building offers both mountain and ocean views.
