Cozy Coastal Retreat Near the Dunes
Only a few blocks from the beach, on the only island in the area. Cross a bridge to what feels like a bird sanctuary. Probably the quietest place to stay on the Central Coast, you don't even hear the train, which I kind like the sound of. You hear mostly birds during the day and frogs at night. Very romantic and very private. Spacious backyard for hanging out.

Originally from Kalamazoo, MI, I've always wanted a rental property near the beach. My parents moved to Thousand Oaks when I was 11, but I took every chance to drive to Zuma or Malibu to hang out at the beach. I'm a fish at heart, I love the water. My husband got me into kayaking and boogie boarding when I was 26, so we spent a lot of time in Pismo Beach, we lived in Berkeley at the time. I loved this place the most for kayak surfing and of course Carmel, Monterey area for kayaking.
Why they chose this property
While staying here you won't have to worry about sirens or everyday traffic noise, just the birds and the frogs, yet you are just a few blocks from an awesome restaurant and Pismo Beach is close by. You would be basically staying on an island, that's what the locals call this place.
What makes this property unique
There are only a few neighbors that live on this oasis. I didn't even know about this place until my realtor showed it to me. The neighbors are very nice and it feels like your on vacation even if you live here all year long. The house is decorated to the brim with all the beach paraphernalia.
