Situated in Rotonda West - a deed restricted golfing community half way between Sarasota and Fort Myers and within easy reach of three local airports (Tampa, Sarasota & Fort Myers). It is an ideal location, close to beaches, 6 golf courses, nature reserve, great shopping!! and within reach of all Florida's major attractions - you will be spoilt for choice.

The pool has a south aspect, ideal for sunbathing and for enjoying the spectacular golf course view. The pool/lanai is fully enclosed in a mesh cage. The large lanai area catches the sun all day long - perfect for sunbathing. There are also plenty of shady areas to cool off. Two loungers and side table are provided for your comfort.

ACTIVITIES AND ATTRACTIONS

Beach activities include sun bathing, boating and fishing; hunting for colorful shells and pre-historic sharks teeth; bird and sunset watching and maybe even an occasional dolphin or manatee. We are a 10 min drive to the beautiful beaches of Manasota Key with 4 lovely beaches to choose from. There are trails for hiking at Stump Pass State Park which is a wildlife sanctuary at the tip of Manasota Key.

Gasparilla Island is a short drive south where you can visit the beaches of Boca Grand and the lighthouse.

Boats can be hired for fishing or pleasure trips. Organized tours offer a variety of trips including a sunset trip where dolphins chase your boat!

Golfing is a popular past-time in the area as well. There are plenty of opportunities for a great game of golf at any one of the six nearby courses.

Sarasota, located less than an hour away, is known for shopping, dining, and fine arts.

Port Charlotte is only 20 mins to the south. Here you will find a large shopping mall with Macys, Dillards, JCPenny etc.

Tampa is about 1.5 hours drive. Attend sporting events and concerts at the stadiums or visit Busch Gardens.

Magical memories can be made by simply taking a day trip to Disney, Universal Studio, MGM, Disney's Animal Kingdom, Sea World and Discovery Cove. These attractions are just a few hours away.

Rotonda Close to Boca Grand, Don Pedro, Manasota Beaches

House was close to what we wanted to explore, some SW FL beaches: Boca Granda, Don Pedro Island & Manasota Key… the layout and set up of the house was good for us. However, we felt it was a bit used? tired? Needs a general refresher here and there. Was not entirely clean upon arrival (ex hairs on floors, smell. House manger was very good responding to any issue.

Very nice vacation home

We spent a total of three weeks there in May 2023 and enjoyed our stay very much. Two weeks with our adult daughter and one week as a couple. The house is large and quietly located. It is tastefully decorated and well equipped. The kitchen is very well equipped. We felt very comfortable there. The property management responds incredibly quickly to requests and takes care of the tenants' concerns very quickly and competently. We will gladly come back again. Susanne and Norbert (Germany)

Well equipped lovely property

This house is very private with a great sunny-all-day pool. There is every appliance that you can imagine in the kitchen as well as spices! We had a relaxing time and would definitely go back!

Commode in master bedroom needs fixed or replaced. Heat for pool should be included in rental. Disappointing that pool was too cold to use. Otherwise, nice home. Beautiful kitchen and master bedroom. Everything we needed!

Potential to be more than what it is.

General cleanliness was very poor inside and outside of the property. The pool steps were cracked which would impact on a disabled person who wanted to use the pool. Both reclining chairs in the pool area were damaged beyond use. The kitchen was poorly stocked and we had to boil a pan to make a cup of tea. It does have a coffee machine if you like coffee. Essential utensils such as can opener were not stocked, no working vacuum cleaner or brush to brush tiled floor of which several are damaged in the kitchen area. The general decorating has been undertaken to a poor standard and I would not have accepted the quality output if it was my house. The cleanliness of the outside furniture was very dirty and clearly never been power washed Florida is renowned for insects but kitchen cupboards should not have cockroaches in them. We left the cupboards and stored the all foods in the fridge. On a plus it has a good shower in the main bathroom and it is on a nice location overlooking the golf course. I did contact the owner on day one to advise of the reclining chairs were damaged expecting the property management team to change straight away, instead I received the response, thank for letting me know. Hence unable to relax by the pool. Whilst my review is no great, it wouldn't take to much to rectify. My recommendations are listed below. 1) sack you cleaner. 2) employee pest control, truly Nolan pest control are local. 3) invest in the property, ensure the villa has its basics. 4) undertake routine maintenance, the villa isn't the worse in the road but it came a close second.

Remote Location

The property was very comfortable and quiet, but in need of some TLC. It was advertised with an electric heated pool, but the owner charged us extra for heating it. This needs to be disclosed in the listing NOT after booking. Lanai furniture consisted of an indoor dining table and 4 outdoor chairs plus 2 sun loungers held together with zip ties. Lanai deck was very dirty and needed cleaning. Rotunda West is a long drive from US41 or I75 and there are no shops or restaurants close by, but great for golfers and if you want a quiet place to stay. Internet service was patchy and kept going down. Property Manager was very helpful and responsive.

Nice House, overall good, but a few issues

Nice house & neighborhood. Was there for 15 days. No major issues, but a few misses in my opinion. Grass needed cutting when we got there, alerted Property Manager of that on my 2nd day, but still never got cut during my 2 weeks there. Biggest issue to me, was the restriction on running the A/C. In their House rules/instruction booklet, they stated in the very first page, not to set A/C below 78*, that it may freeze up the compressor. I understand this, but is disappointing considering how nice the rest of the house is. Ceiling fans in every room help, but this was still a bit on the uncomfortable side for us. Also they only furnish one house key...even motels give out 2 keys. Unreasonable to expect a large family or group to always be coming and going at the same time. People come and go, different interests, should furnish more than one key. Overall good stay, with no BIG issues, but could have been a 5 star stay with resolution of a few things.

Enjoyable Stay

My husband and I came with our adulation daughter. We had a great time. Great location. Management was very nice. Only issues we had was with the pool was pretty dirty..and the heat was only on from 10am to 4pm which was convenient for us because we did a lot of evening swimming and it the water pretty cold. The house was very nice…needs some basic maintenance and it had a few dead cockroaches but it’s Florida so we understood. We would definitely stay there again.

It was worth the price

The property was not as clean as we expected and it needed some basic maintenance but overall it was a nice house. The kitchen was fully equipped and the pool was a nice touch. The owner and property manager were very easy to work with and resolved the few issues that had came up quickly. (Make sure to bring your own hand soap, paper towels, toilet paper, dish soap, and blow dryer)

The back view is good but otherwise it’s not worth the dealing with crooked owner that will try to charge you for additional things. First of, before we purchased stay at this property I inquired about the extra cost of pool heating. Owner wrote and said it’s 10 dollars a day. Sounds reasonable so we booked. Upon arrival, he informs me that the actual heating runs only from 10am till 4pm. So the 10 per day was a lie as it takes a couple of days with heat running to warm up pool that size. So essentially you are paying for cold pool. Second, when we arrived, the garage door didn’t open so parked outside. Once we checked our owner wants to charge me for garage door repair. So if you go, make sure and check everything otherwise be prepared to be charged for later.

Private and Quiet Retreat

My family and I have rented this home for years. There is a driving range behind the house and an empty lot on either side. Making this property very private. It is clean, comfortable and has a full bathroom for each bedroom. Looking to going back again next year.

Perfect relaxing privacy location

We rented this home for the month if February 2019. This home is spacious with ceramic flooring throughout but we found it quite challenging to keep clean and no idea where the dust came from since windows were closed and A/C running. With a little TLC this could be a beautiful home. We made due with the furnishings though. The lanai was where we spent most of our days. We just loved the beautiful heated swimming pool that got sun most of the day. So convenient having access to a bathroom from pool area, but had to use towels as rugs before entering if still damp or wet. There are empty lots on both sides, and so our neighbors were turtles that came out every day. Backyard is the driving range so we collected golf balls and drove them back on our last day there. We would definitely consider renting this home again.

One Week Golf Trip

House was great. Will be back for a month in March. Would have been able to cancel March if I wasn't satisfied. Only issue was that I asked for the pool heat to be turned on but it didn't happen.. It didn't matter as we were too busy to use it.. Will expect in March to have a heated pool as the pool area is great.

Tired basic property

Despite staying in various parts of Florida for the past five years, I did not enjoy my stay in this villa for a number of reasons. The first reason was that the villa was not very clean when we arrived. Although it had been cleaned, it must have been some time before as there was a build up of dust on the surfaces and there was balls of fluff and dust along the skirting boards. Bed sheets were thread bare or moth eaten in parts, and few times found big ants in the bed, and a dead cockroach in a bowl in the kitchen cupboard. The dishwasher did not work properly, the front door latch didn’t work properly either, and nor did the pool light. The most significant thing was there was no pool fence up even though I had specified we had a child with us and expected it to be in place, as it has been in other properties we have stayed in, and was vital as we had a two year old with us. I telephoned the property manager to ask for the pool fence to be put up and was told there wasn’t one. I was absolutely flabbergasted as I know it is Florida law to have this. I was told to contact the owner of the house, I did this and he told me to contact the property manager. After some time it was eventually established that the pool fence was in the attic. Somebody was going to come and put it up and fix the pool light and the front door latch. The pool fence was put up, on day 4 but the pool light worked for around 1 minute then went off again and the front door latch was never fixed despite us being there for over a month. The villa did not have a kettle and being British I like to drink tea so I bought a kettle with no issues, along with plastic cups, plates and bowls to use outside for the children as there weren’t any. Although I wasn’t really thrilled at all of these things, what I really disagree with is that my grandson broke a lamp. My daughter paid $80 to replace the lamp, yet I lost $100 dollars of my deposit despite replacing the lamp. So in essence we have paid $180 dollars for a lamp. And I obviously left all of the additional kitchen items that I bought. Won’t be staying there again.

Good location, well maintained home, everything as advertised

We spent March 2018 at this property. It was completely as advertised. We enjoyed the nice view of the driving range. The pool was very clean and well maintained. It was equally easy to get to Boca Grande as it was to Englewood or towards Port Charlotte. There is a very comfortable family room off of the kitchen which is not in the pictures. I would suggest adding a picture of it as it was the main area in which we sat and watched TV.

Nice place

This was a nice home in a nice location. It was clean and well stocked. The only issue was it was for sale. Being for sale is not an issue, but having real estate agents bringing clients in for viewings unannounced was an issue. This happened twice before I called. Then the agents called to give me a heads up before they arrived. I asked for a late check out due to my inconvenience but was told they couldn't inconvenience the cleaning lady she had a tight schedule. I suppose it was okay to inconvenience the renter but not the cleaning lady. Go figure?????
