Why they chose this property
Glenorchy and the wider Central Otago region are incredibly close to my heart. My family immigrated here from Scotland in the early 1800s, and from the moment I first visited as a child, I knew I was home.
This place is truly special—where towering mountains meet pristine alpine lakes, and untouched, ancient rainforests whisper the stories of time. It’s a landscape that stirs the soul and captures the imagination. Whether it’s your first visit or your fiftieth, there’s always something magical waiting just around the bend.

Fox Lodge was created with thoughtful, considered design that reflects and celebrates the natural beauty of Glenorchy. Inside, you’ll find warm wood finishes and earthy green tiles, carefully chosen to mirror the tones of the surrounding landscape—from mossy forest floors to the dense canopy of ancient beech trees.

Whether you’re unwinding with a glass of wine in front of the fire, enjoying a quiet morning coffee, or simply taking in the views, the space is designed to make you feel right at home.
