We are located across from the Mississippi River with great views of the river, eagles overhead and the Alma bluff. Main Street is also Wisconsin State Highway 35 and known as The Great River Road, Wisconsin's only National Scenic Byway. Drive the back roads of Buffalo County and revel that there is no traffic and Buffalo County only has one stop light ... just to let the folks from Winona, Minnesota come into the state.
For train buffs Alma, Wisconsin is one of the best viewing locations along the Mississippi River for the Burlington Northern Sante Fe line. Lock & Dam #4 bridge over the railroad tracks is a favorite viewing spot in Alma. We have train photographers stay each year to capture the views. CAUTION: You will hear trains but we provide ear plugs.
