HS Gang Gettogether

Our gang of six couples gathered here for the Bourbon trail. We are well into our sixties and found the house to be very comfortable. Beautiful historic mansion with very comfortable furnishings. The kitchen was well appointed and we put the coffee makers to work! Kristen was very responsive to questions. The location was convenient for dining, downtown, the highway and the airport.

Such a wonderful house!

We had 7 couples stay here and it was perfect! The house is gorgeous, spacious and clean. It also had everything we needed. The location was great. Easy to get to downtown, the airport and Lexington for bourbon tours. Could walk to great restaurants. Eric was a wonderful host and super helpful. We would all stay here again and our group is not easy to please lol!

Bourbon Trail Adventure

Finished a five day trip to Lexington and Louisville with a two night stay at this fantastic house. It was perfect for our group of ten friends. Super clean and well appointed! We had a great time!

Beautiful home

We loved this house! We came with 5 couples and the spacious house had plenty of room and everyone got their own bathroom. It is newly remolded and beautifully decorated. We all raved about it. It’s in a cute neighborhood and in walking distance to fun restaurants. We had a wonderful stay!

Bourbon mansion fun

We had a great time! Beautiful spot! Nice home! There is a beautiful park and neighborhood for nice walks but no gym just fyi. The beds were comfy too! It was very nice! Thank you Kristen and Eric!!

Fabulous House

Great house for a group!

We were a group of 4 couples in town to visit distilleries. This house was more than perfect for us. Very clean and we enjoyed having two living rooms and two kitchens. The location is also great, we were able to walk to dinner one night- highly recommend Noche Mexican BBQ. We would definitely stay here again if we return to the area!

Highly recommend

We had 5 middle aged couples stay for the Louisville experience and it was wonderful. The property was terrific... the house is in a safe neighborhood and was very comfortable for 5 couples. it was walking distance to church, restaurants and a short drive to downtown. It was a perfect spot for us and we would definitely stay here again.

Sisters Weekend - Louisville Natives back in town

We had a great time returning to our old stomping grounds. The Bardstown Road area is great and a short walk down into the winding park roads of Cherokee and Seneca parks was delightful. The house is large and so comfortable. Every amenity is supplied and it feels like home. Would definitely stay again if we needed a house of this size.

Amazing Accomodations

We couldn't have asked for a more perfect home to stay in during a recent extended weekend trip. Everything about the home is great--the location is walkable to restaurants, a brewery and coffee; the primary kitchen is fully outfitted; the beds are plentiful and comfortable; several big spaces for a group to hang out; and lots of onsite parking. On top of all that, it was pristine and an quick and easy check-in and check-out process. Worth every penny and I would DEFINITELY stay here again.

Incredible Home!

We had the BEST time at the Bourbon Mansion! Kristen was so friendly and helpful throughout the process. The neighborhood is amazing and we still feel like there was so much more to explore. The home itself is so clean, very spacious and decorated beautifully! We will be coming back!!

Spectacular in every way!

I can't say enough good things about this beautiful home. It has been flawlessly renovated with details that fit right into the vintage feel. It feels modern, yet comfortable and authentic. Kristen, the host, worked with us on a couple of special requests. She always responded within minutes, and was very accommodating. The home smelled clean because it is clean, and they don't use any of the chemical air fresheners, which is a huge plus for me. I've stayed in more than 60 VRBOs in the last few years, and this experience is definitely one of the very best. Lots of nearby restaurants, and tons of parking rounded out the experience. You can't go wrong with this magnificent home and delightful host!

Stunning home. Well appointed. Great location. Owners were super to work with

We were a group of 13 adults. This house has plenty of room and everything was lovely! The only negative would be the number of bathrooms but we worked it out. It is not easy to find a house with five king size beds! That was a real treat almost like five masters. The house also had two kitchens and two great gathering rooms every single guest was thrilled with the house we found I HIGHLY recommend this 3 story mansion.

We have traveled the world and the type of neighborhood and house you would ever want is located here. The park setting is similar to New York or Chicago, walkable to shops and everything you need. On Saturdays you can buy all fresh local organic food at the farmers market on the corner. There is a coffee shop, a bakery and brewery on the corner. It is a treasure to be here.

The Highlands Mansion offers over 4,000 Square feet with plenty of room for multiple couples or guests as a retreat for enjoying the Derby City. The homes charm was preserved with the original two hundred year old wood floors and stained glass windows which provide a historic feel, while the carefully chosen decor warms up the space for a truly comfortable stay.
