Looking for an ocean get-a-way to enjoy those painted beach sunrises and salty evening breezes? “Sandy Paws B!” managed by Dale and Salt Water Real Estate is a multi-level home with sea sights, sounds, and experiences for the whole family. Beach-combing is just a hop and 2 block skip away and sun-seeking is an Ocean BREEZE from one of the homes multiple balconies. Sun, Surf, and "BEACH" await you on your CB adventure!

Pleasure Island (Carolina Beach, Kure Beach, and Fort Fisher) has become a RAPIDLY increasing vacation (and full-time!) destination for the East coast and beyond for many reasons. It’s a family-oriented beach with a touch of everything one might be looking for! It’s an AMAZING place to visit, live, and never leave!

The home lies directly in the middle of the North End of Carolina Beach and is a long walk or short drive from downtown Carolina Beach and everything that is has to offer. In Carolina Beach you’ve got the boardwalk, restaurants, and local shops of all kinds. If you like adventures, the marina is also there where you can take an offshore fishing trip, diving excursion, or party boat out for a sunset sail. Camping more your thing? Bring the 4X4 and drive (and camp) on the beach at Freeman Park, located on the North End of the island. You can also head down to Kure Beach and fish directly off their fishing pier complete with bait, tackles, and more!

Take the staircase or private elevator to the first floor which boasts a kids room (bedroom #1) with ONE (1) Queen size bed and its own private East facing balcony. Bedroom #2 sits just down the hall with ONE (1) Queen bed of its own, an ensuite bathroom (#1) with shower stall, and its own dose of Eastern facing salty balcony breezes! Another bedroom (#3) with ONE (1) Queen bed and bathroom #2 with a tun AND shower round out story one of your sandcastle!

Take the elevator up to the next level where Master bedroom (#4) with ONE (1) King size bed, a private Eastern facing balcony, and ensuite bathroom (#3) with separate shower and tub await! Bedroom #5 with ONE (1) Queen + Queen bunk awaits down the hall with Western views and its own private ensuite bathroom (bathroom # 4 with a separate shower and tub). The winner of your very own "pac-man" tournament can determine who sets the dinner table!

Take your personal elevator up to the top floor where a truly remarkable space awaits! A modern kitchen that's furnished with granite counter tops, stainless appliances, and a mini-bar reside amongst other luxurious upgrades. Behind you sits another half bath (Bathroom #5). Back through the hallways sits the family room complete with a fireplace and smart TV for entertaining, along with a final balcony complete with "peek-a-boo" views of the Atlantic!

A few of the amenities provided by your Owners include courtesy large shampoo, conditioner, and shower gel left in the bathroom of each bath as well. Also, a roll of TP in each bathroom, 1 roll of PT in the kitchen, 2 garbage bags per garbage, laundry pods, dishwasher pods, dryer sheets, hand soap, dish soap, a sponge, coffee, tea, and pure cane sugar in each kitchen.

The home's TWO (2) Twin bunk sets with TWO (2) trundles, TWO (2) Queen beds, and TWO (2) King beds consist of either a plush luxury mattress or a new encased memory foam/cooling gel mattress because we want all of our guests to be comfortable when it comes time to recharge!

There are Smart TV's in EVERY bedroom and living room along with a WIFI computer connection (bring your own login info to use for the provided APPS) for when it's time to sit back and enjoy some movies or shows after a long day at the beach!

The HOME: Guests have full access to their own private HOME (never shared) along with a respective carport, balconies, yard.

PARKING: Each reservation will have access to (3-4) assigned carport parking spaces (dependent upon vehicle size)!

The YARD: Guests have full access to their private and fully fenced backyard.

Pleasure Island is a coastal barrier island in Southeastern North Carolina, USA just south of the City of Wilmington. Pleasure Island is located within Federal Point Township, in New Hanover County. The coastal resort towns of Carolina Beach and Kure Beach, as well as the annexed communities of Wilmington Beach and Hanby Beach are located on the island.

"Salty Paws" sits directly across the street from the ICWW and is under a two block walk to the nearest beach access! The home itself is short ride or long walk from Downtown Carolina Beach with its shops, activities and dining. Carolina Beach and the surrounding neighborhoods offer an array of sights and activities to enjoy while here.

Some of these examples are (but not limited to) a subtle beach hike through Carolina Beach State Park, Fishing on the Kure Beach Pier, kayaking to one of the many islands surrounding the Intracoastal Waterway, watching canons blast during a historical reenactment at the Fort Fisher State Historic Site, or petting some Sting Rays at the North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher. This doesn’t even include the aweing scenery of Airlie Gardens, and our very own battleship (USS NC) in Wilmington! Perhaps more relaxing and less “adventure” is your speed? Our own local Brewery (Good Hops) along with a round of Frisbee golf may be what the doctor ordered!

There isn’t anywhere or anything on our Island that isn’t accessible with foot power. Downtown Carolina Beach has a number of vendors (such as Pleasure Island Rentals @ 2 N Lake Park Blvd Carolina Beach NC 28428 (golf carts) and Tony Silvagni’s Surf School @ 107 Charlotte ave Carolina Beach NC 28428 (bicycles, paddleboards, surfboards, kayaks) for rent as an alternative to walking or driving. Taxi’s (local golf cart taxi’s) and Uber’s are also generally available for an assist when needed as well throughout the island!

Our partners include the Tony Silvagni Surf School for professional surf lessons, bicycle, umbrella and chair rentals, Hot Ticket Fishing Charters, Salty Dog Yoga, Amy’s Rise N Shine, and Griffin Cleaning and linens. Our partners support guests of Salt Water Real Estate with the highest caliber of local services for extremely competitive and oft discounted pricing.

•Linens (Sheets, bath towels, wash cloths pillowcases, wash cloths, bathmats) ARE included as part of the rental here (excluding beach towels which can be rented through scrubandgo@griffinscleaning dot org. If requiring extra or non-included linens, please reach out to Griffin Cleaning Services who is a partner with SWRE and will assist in any way possible! Please make sure all linens are placed in the basket or hamper before your departure! Please let all BED LINENS on the beds remain on the beds for our TEAM to take care of! Carolina Beach

•The Town of Carolina Beach offers multiple public parking options to visitors and residents on a FIRST COME-FIRST SERVE basis. Town-operated parking is open year round and paid parking is enforced March 1st - October 31st from 9AM - 8PM. Parking fees restart each morning during enforcement hours for all of the Town's parking lots and on-street parking spaces.

Kure Beach

Parking is enforced March 15 – Sept. 30 from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Parking rates are $5 per hour. Visitors may purchase a day pass for $20, weekly pass for $100 or full season pass for $225.

GOLF CARTS

•To the county, golf carts are considered automobiles. Generally speaking, golf carts are NOT allowed on premises of ANY condo, condotel, or apartment. The same goes for trailers, motorcycles, etc. For SFR’s or properties supporting multiple vehicles, carts should be OK. However, be conscious that few homes have external outlets WITHOUT GFCI’S (which are code by today’s standards). Charging a cart on a GFCI will immediately trip the breaker, resulting in the inability to charge a cart amongst other repercussions. Gas carts will generally be the ideal rental option if in a home whose parking supports such.

•ALL suites are non-smoking (including vaping) and a heavy cleaning/repair charge can result if not adhered to. This includes porches, decks, balconies, and walkways. Please smoke well away from any SWRE property unless willing to risk the potential loss of deposit or more.

•There is a $100 non-refundable pet fee for each approved pup, up to a 2 pup/$150 max. Cats are not allowed on premises.

•April 1st through September 30th, dogs are allowed on the Carolina Beach during restricted hours of BEFORE 9:00 am and AFTER 5:00 pm. On the extreme North End of Carolina Beach, dogs are allowed on leash 24/7 on leash. In Kure Beach, dogs are NOT allowed at any juncture. Fort Fisher allows dogs on leash on the beach 24/7.

Pup rules for Pet Friendly homes

•Pups are NEVER allowed on any furniture. (*Single biggest added charge from the cleaners/owners post stay.)
•Do NOT let your pup bark excessively in any multi-unit environment.
•ALWAYS pick up after your pup IMMEDIATELY after the potty sesh.
