About the host
Hosted by Monica Toft

This house is a labor of love. We bought it three years ago after a two-year search and have spent many hours, days and weeks bringing her back to the house back to its former glory while respecting its past. There is much still to be done (yes, the bathrooms, fully functional!, but in need some updates), but we love the challenge and love to share the place with our family and friends. It is a special property, one that deserves to be enjoyed. We hope you find some peace and connection to nature, family and friends during your visit.
Why they chose this property
It's just such a beautiful place to wake up to in the morning, with the lobster boats humming on the water as the sunrises over the gut and gaze at a sky full of starts at night, with just the frogs and cicadas in the background.
What makes this property unique
It is modernised, but retains the charm that Maine has to offer. In fact, when we bought the house, a friend pleaded with us to "not take the Maine out the house." As we have fixed almost every element to bring the house up-to-date, we tried to do just that.
