We Spent a week with a handful of friends, which this place was perfectly situated for. The place had all kitchen amenities we needed for the times we decided to cook/have meals at the home. Instructions and check in process was clear and easy to navigate. Loved our stay!
The property is as described; its location provides good access to shopping and services, and easy access to highways.
Our stay coincided with a cold snap and the owners were responsive with providing extra support to regulate the temperature.
We were looking for a place suitable for our family Thanksgiving while also being near enough to downtown that we could attend a conference. This property was comfortable, well-equipped, and close enough to downtown to make it to the Austin Convention Center in 15 minutes during morning traffic.
The balconies overlooking the creek were lovely. The neighborhood was quiet despite being near a main road. The neighbors were friendly and quick to say high as we took our dog on walks. All the family slept comfortably.
We had a ton of options for Thanksgiving catering nearby. We were able to warm up all the food, cook additional sides, and have plenty of room for a family of five to sit together and enjoy the meal.
The house is split-level and requires you to navigate a few steps to get into the living room/kitchen, which was a little work for my aging parents and could be an issue for anyone with mobility challenges. The wifi was a little slow when all five of us were on our devices, but cell connectivity can bridge the difference.
Two things to watch out for. First, the flue on the fireplace had been left open. The house was cold when we arrived and we didn't realize it was because of the open flue until much later in the stay. It was hard to close and we ended up putting a rug against the fireplace grate to block the air. The heater was able to keep up once we turned it up, but I'm sure it was wasting electricy. Second, the dish washer is a little tricky. The soap dispenser tends to pop open and the tablets dissolve under the dishes, meaning they're not actually getting cleaned with detergent. Just be certain it clicks a few times when loading the soap, and check the dishes before you use them in case previous visitors didn't figure it out.
Overall, it was a great stay. We'll be back the next time this conference circles through Austin.
The property was nice; when we arrived there were a few things a bit out of whack (microwave,) - but the property manager was VERY responsive and addressed everything immediately.
The apartment was very nice. Good use of space, beautiful interior design, and good location. Veracruz tacos and Radio coffee nearby for the perfect Austin morning.
