Although there was nothing wrong with the property itself, there was a lot that needs tending to. The grass/ bushes are overgrown outside and inside there are very clear patches on walls/ the ceiling everywhere. The room my husband and I stayed in was fine, we were provided a fan which we truly appreciated! The room my parents stayed in however, my father said his pillow smelled like pee which makes for an unpleasant experience. There were also only 3 towels provided for 4 grown adults which luckily we didn’t stay for long so we didn’t need more but it could have been tricky if we were there any longer. I did appreciate the parking, there were plenty of spots and I had an F 150 to fit into the spots which can be challenging in Victoria. My truck fit no problem as did another full size half ton truck. Overall, I would stay here again if I had to but I’ve stayed in better places in Victoria.

Exceeded Expectations

The place was very clean and comfortable. It looks better in person than it does in the pictures. Entirely reasonable at the price. Thanks for a good stay!

Farewell to Jean

With some minor renovations and fresh paint this would be an excellent place for a large group to stay. King bed needs a pillow top for comfort. We appreciated 3 separate sleeping areas.

Place needs some upkeep

Decent enough place. Kitchen sink leaks. Needs to be repaired or replaced. Can hear the neighbours upstairs easily. Beds are very hard.

Great value, very spacious

Great value and spacious property. Situated in an older house so plumbing is a little noisy and the rooms are sloped. Has everything you need for the stay

Well worth the money!

The property inside is very clean, very well maintained. spacious and absolutely sound proof. We slept very well and would highly recommend it to anyone who needs a place. Only drawbacks entrance is in a high traffic area and it's not walking distance to anything so you need a car or taxi. But very minor! Highly recommend!

4/10 Poor

Good location but needs help in cleaning dept.

Location: was on a busy street however we booked the basement suite in the back of the house so the noise didnt bother us. Downtown was about a 15 min drive. Walls were paper thin, we can hear foot steps and talking from above. We were given only 4 towels and 2 face cloths for 5 ppl. Floors and carpets were dirty. All our feet within 2 hrs turned black. We had to buy slippers that evening. The rooms smells like chemicals. We had to keep having a fan and windows open all day and the smell just won't go away. Pillows are old. TV has no cable so had to use our phone and mirror screen for everyone to watch. Pro: price is reasonable and the unit had lots of space for 5 ppl. We can park right at the back so near our entrance. Free wifi.

Space for everyone

This property allowed us to each have some privacy and spread out a bit. The kitchen had all of the necessities and everything works. The coffee pot was tiny so we needed to brew a few pots. Some new pillows would go a long way!

On the plus side, the property is conveniently located; the unit is large and has a complete kitchen. I chose it for its location, size, 2-bedroom, and because our unit was accessible for the elderly in our party, meaning it had a level entrance. On the down side, the ancient toilet ran continually and noisily, the kitchen tap leaked continuously, and we found mouldy and way out-of-date food. The yard is unkempt and strewn with cigarette butts.

Priced Right

This property is located close to downtown and the university. If you plan on biking around or using the bus services it's perfect from a location perspective. The property is lower in cost then many of the Victoria options available. The kitchen is well stocked with cooking utensils. The rental unit is lower standard than a hotel room and reminded me of my days as a student where landlords or roommates didn't keep things very clean or well maintained. So if you like the price, and you don't mind a lower standard, then this property is for you.

This unit is clean, quiet, and tidy. The kitchen has all the basics for cooking and there’s a coin-op laundry in the building. It’s close to grocery, ATM, and bus lines. It was a perfect home base for our family to explore Victoria and feel at home at the end of each day.

You can find much better

Basement suite in a run down triplex with wanting yard. Little to no natural light. The ceilings and walls are paper thin and you can hear every movement from upstairs. The apartment was generally clean but there is a musty odour to the place and the beds were rock hard. Clean linens although horrible pillows. Awoke in the am and slipped hard onto the kitchen floor - the celing had leaked a cup of water overnight and the kitchen floor was soaked. There must be litres in the ceiling. For $335 this was not close to worth it. Find your accomodation elsewhere!
