About this property

We'd love to welcome you to our beach house with beautiful views of the Delaware Bay. The house comfortably sleeps 8 people and is just steps away from a private family-oriented beach. You'll sleep comfortably thanks to the help of our new central AC system.

At the private beach, you can bring along some cocktails, some music and even build bonfires at night. Wade in the water at the sand bars right in front of the house or read a book in the shade of an umbrella. Enjoy the sea breeze and the lull of the ocean waves with none of the mosquitoes in the screened-in porch or gaze at the stars on the upper observation deck.

While on vacation, still experience all the comforts of home with two 42-inch flat screen TVs with cable services, wireless high-speed Internet service that carries even to the beach! Dine out or enjoy a night in with everything you need to cook a family meal in the full kitchen and propane grill on the deck. You're able to pack light as we have a washer and dryer available in the house for your convenience.

We also have a sun umbrella, beach chairs, sand shovels and buckets, boogie boards, noodles and more in the shed. Bringing multiple cars? No problem. We have off Road parking for 5 to 6 cars.

Free WIFI and a powerful router means you can stream live music while relaxing on the beach!

Peaceful

This is our third time staying at this house. We enjoy it more every time. We appreciate the upgrades to the decks. Love the PrimeHook area, it’s incredibly restful.

Great View!

The view from the back deck was wonderful! My farther-in-law is not able to walk in the sand very well, but loved the beach. So he sat on the back deck almost the entire stay watching the ocean.

Great escape

Love the quiet location + spectacular views. The house was well equipped. Thanks for that! Due to wind, we didnt get to spend time on the top deck which was a little disappointing...but we did get to fly kites. We were sorry to leave this special place for making memories. Old time beach vacation with modern amenities.

Another Perfect Stay at Primehook

This was our 3rd stay at this rental. It has quickly become one of our favorites! The house is perfect for the crew that travels with us - 4 adults and 3 children. I cannot say enough good things about it, from the beach and crabbing accessibility to enjoying the nights and mornings spent on the screened deck. The location is perfect for spending time at the private beach then driving to all of the other attractions- Cape May Lewes Ferry, dining, and Rehoboth boardwalk. We are already looking forward to booking our trip for next summer!

Nice house that needs a little TLC

Place was good. Location and amenities were awesome however the beds were uncomfortable. The fan in master bedroom makes a weird sound when it’s on low and medium. There were cobwebs on dining room, kitchen lights. Cobwebs in room corners towards the ceilings with spiders. All in all it’s a nice place just needs a little TLC.

Fantastic stay

The house was just as it was pictured and equipped with all the necessities. It was extremely helpful having beach chairs, umbrellas etc already provided. It is a very quiet, friendly neighborhood. Most days we were the only ones on the beach, definitely the place to go for down time and relaxation. Our family had a great time!

Lovely relaxing long weekend

The house was as described in listing. It was clean. It had everything we needed in the kitchen. The screened porch is great. The location is quiet and private. One day we went to Lewes, which is such a cute town. Another afternoon we went to Cape Henlopen State Park, and that is very nice also. Overall, we had a wonderful time and we may stay here again.

I want to buy this house.

We had a fantastic stay! The location was beautiful, the house was very nice, clean and the layout of the house worked very well for our family of seven. We all appreciated the well supplied necessities and communication with the host was excellent. We would encourage an upgrade on the downstairs bedroom mattress or to use it for a single person (or for couples who like to sleep snuggled together) and some direction on use of the hurricane door for “newbies.” Would we stay here again? Absolutely!

Great Location!

The beachfront house could not have been better! Easy, private access. House was much nicer than expected. House was clean and well-stocked with all the utensils, pans, etc. that you could want. Loved both the screened-in porch and the second-story porch above it. The beds and furnishings were terrific. As for the bay, the water was warm with virtually no waves. Beach and wading areas were almost all sand without the usual large broken shells that are typical of most beaches. This is an excellent vacation place!!

Stay at Prime Hook

We had a great time at Jim’s place! The house is the perfect size for four adults and four kids. There was plenty of beach stuff which was much appreciated and the screened porch and outdoor shower were fantastic! Nice quiet beach but the fireworks shows were spectacular! Would definitely recommend!

This property was perfect for our family. We even had extra room. The screened-in porch was awesome, and the view from the top deck was amazing. Communication with the owner was easy, and he answered all my questions. NOTE: This property does not have sheets or towels. They are rentable from a local company, but we brought our own. I liked that the price of the VRBO was less expensive than others since the owner does not have to pay for the laundry service. We had extras, so it was a no-brainer.

A Wave From It All

My husband and I had a fantastic experience at Jim’s shore side home. The home was very clean when we checked in and we couldn’t have asked for a better host, and everything was there for our beach experience. The beach area is private and not crowded, away from beachgoers. The home is comfortable and very spacious, and the views are fantastic. I will be booking this place again.

We loved this place! So relaxing!

The location - right on the beach! - couldn't be better. Also, the screened porch that looked out on the beach allowed us to spend our whole time "on the beach," either literally on the beach (beautiful sunrises!) or eating, reading, relaxing in the screened porch. House is very roomy, very well stocked, and very comfortable. We liked this place so much, and the great communication with the owner, that we've already looked at dates to stay here again!
